Had the game on launch and thought it was a good idea but a really sloppy game, has all that been cleared up now? Also thought there was meant to be DLC out in June?
Worth buying yet?
save urself a money, save ur time, save ur nerves, it’s not worth to buy, it should be free game.
Ding Ding Ding! You are the newest contestant in the Is it Worth Buying Yet Sweepstakes!
You win a shiny new Yes it Is! (Because this a forum for Brink and most of the people here own the game!*)
*in order to play Brink you must have a copy. Whether it is worth buying is purely subjective, and usually only determined by the purchaser and not the opinion of other people. Some offers do apply. Contest ends on such and such a date in the distant future on the Ark.
It’s totally worth buying. Got video proof to back it up, too.
You’re missing out on some intense gaming. Go pick it up, today!!
Do you ever get tired of being “Downer Dan” constantly, about everything? Seriously, if you don’t like Brink or QW then why stay around here? Nobody would miss you. The door’s right over there.
@OP
I would say it’s worth buying, though depends on what platform you’re on as to how many full games you will find.
Try playing:
Duke Nukem Forever
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Section 8
Breach
Then let’s talk about what games should be free.
I’d say with the update coming soon, with the free maps and what not… I say buy it when they announce the date for the DLC. If the DLC doesn’t come out till next month, wait till a week before, because this game lasted about a week for me before I needed something else to get me re addicted. XD
Saw it today at GS for $39 new $34 used. $23 trade in. So at worst an $11 dollar rental.
I can only reccommend it if you are going to be playing online. The SP is a little weak for those
prices. It serves well as a training ground for the MP. The challenge mode is the tutorial I guess.
This is where you will learn about the classes and objectives, and unlock weapons and attachments
for the other modes. Well all modes and characters actually. I strongly reccommend new players start here.
Do the first level of each challenge. Then go back for the harder ones.
When playing with full teams of humans, who actually know how to play, this game is AWESOME.
So much going on, so much to do, so little time! Games run at a frantic pace.
I’m not a big fan of playing with the bots as they are rage inducing aim-bots when on the enemy
team, and lost puppies on your team.
I guess having bots for backups when people quit out is better than playing a man down. Happens often on my other fav game, BC2. When people start quitting it makes a big difference. Here you at least get immediate backup. Double edged sword I suppose.
Overall I’m very satisfied with my $65 I spent. I got exactly what I was looking for.
A class based objective game that actually encourages people to work together for the win
instead of by themselves for stats.
I love BC2 but when I hear people say, “Don’t go down there, you’ll get killed! That flags a deathtrap!”
I really start to question peoples motives for playing.
You won’t find that attitude here.

Good stuff GLUGLUG. Pretty much in a nutshell. Give it a try is what I say.
I go down in glory around the objectives
Buy it, steep learning curve, but once you are there, it rocks even more then it does when you just began!
I like it, I like it more than I did ETQW…
But I feel there is a lot of things that still need to be changed.
i get it! people who too lazy to type and sound like idiot and spellz thing wrong = troll and need to get fat ass off computer chair sometimez…
Just wait for the DLC then decide, hopefully then there will be games with all human opponents.
I notice the prices in the UK are starting to creep up in the past few days, which seems strange.
If there was a demo, I’d suggest that first - Brink seems to be a love it or hate it game.
No, there is the hardcore that will say YES to anything on here but truth be told NOT yet, just wait until the price lowers and for them to fix it
In order to fully appreciate the game you have to hook up with other folks. This forum is a great place to make those friends and then meet up with them on-line.
The game, like any game, is subject to your preferences. While Brink has its warts, it really is pretty unique and allows/makes you work as a team to accomplish objectives more than any game I have played. It combines this with the fun of a traditional FPS shooter, but with much better movement mechanics.
You could rent it first like I did, and talk with folks here. But I think you will find, once you have given yourself time to learn the game style, with the help of folks here, it is a lot of fun more often than not.
Good luck with your choice.
