We had this for Season 2. So here we go for season 3. Share the rage:

Attacker on Trainyard. Teammate who calls out the shots (good thing) but who goes mental as soon as something doesnt go exactly how he wants. We destroy the first objective he screams: “Everybody, go right!” The whole team except of him goes right, he goes left. “Where the fuck are you retards going, I am all alone!”

Attacker on Terminal. Guy is just unpleasant. Cries about everybody is playing solo. Team tries to group up, he cries about team should stop fucking camping. We destroy both containers. He has second lowest score. Gets told to better STFU and play better. “I am going afk now. BB.” We lose second half…

Yesterday I managed to find similar scum.

after fast repairing the EV on chapel we had a small uphold just beyond the bridge.
Nothing worse, nothing that would make us lose the match. especially after this fast repair.

But these 2 duo-ing one celled lifeforms thought it was such a big deal that they immediately wanted to surrender. When not given what they wanted they started teamkilling us for the 12 remaining minutes.

And here come the worst part, these geniuses didn’t team kill you all the time, but they caused significant damage to you in front of the enemy, so you’re screwed but they won’t receive any penalty for it.

You can already punish people if they deal (quite some) damage to you, it’s just an incredibly buggy system, sometimes I can punish teammates for dealing 20 damage to me and sometimes I can’t if they throw a nade at me that kills me while I had full hp.

The problem is that ranked is pretty much as usual… Even if the teams have remained 5v5, it doesn’t change the fact how every other match feels like a 4v5 match. You just have one or two players without a clue… Or at worst a team that just camps in their own spawn…

Ranked in cancer, absolute cancer… I got a stupid trinket. I do not think I can get lucky with my teams, so I’ve reached as high rank as I can… And with those absolutely minimal rewards for losing… 30 minutes for 10 ranked points? Why even bother?

Ranked is cancer… RANKED IS CANCER.,… And I’ve have enough of it. It is not core DB… Core DB is joining a random min level 10 or 20 server.

Or at least, let me play ‘RANKED OBJECTIVE’ instead of stopwatch…

Last week, still unranked, solo queuing, first round attacking on Bridge. Team lost any sense of coordination so we were’nt even able to solder the EV’s licence plate back.

Then one left. And then two. So I call for a surrender vote but it does not pass. And five minutes in, I’m left alone in the spawn, with 1,5k XP points. It’s 1vs5 now so I’m camped hard. I have to wait the timer for another surrender vote, and I went from 1,5k to 500 XP suiciding and denying kills to the enemy.

And then the fun begins.

I explain the situation in chat, and threaten them to make them wait the full 15 min if they persist to spawncamp me and deny them kills by suiciding. So two of them are waiting for me to surrender and the three others still camp me.

I use spawn protection, switch to Thunder and began to farm them bad, get some badges and finish the game at 16 min with 5 kXP (wich is as much as them) and a positive KD.

Ranked is awesome. The loosers have all the tools to troll the winners if balance is skrewed and things start to be disrespectful.

Playing 24/7 Medic and mostly only Medic and being flamed for shit. I tried few times not to pick Medic and nobody else picked a Medic, yea you know how it went.
Or you have to Play Medic and an Engineer because People play Fragger/Nader or Sky/Arty and refuse to do shit and instead flame in CHat/Voice.

Not to mention being mad about not getting Kills and only Assists…

Honestly I probably caused someone’s worst experience.
Defending on chapel. All of us decided to go Arty, with me as a single Aura to heal everyone.
You can imagine how that went.

My experience dates back to the before times, when Ranked was called Competitive.

Spoiler alert: It isn’t much different today than it was then.

I got a mission to complete 2 Competitive matches. I completed them. Both were underground, first match was us steamrolling over a 5v2, second was a spawncamp 5v5 both ways.

Never touched Ranked again

Pub style stompings in ranked.
The horrible balancing. Some of the team’s in a match have a higher rank score then the other team example 4 silver 1 unranked vs 1 silver 3 unranked and 1 bronse. And finally I’ve seen a few bronze players with 4 times the score and kills than the highest scoring level 3 silver in a match. Either there getting lucky or they kept being put on a shit team’s and can’t get to there proper rank. I started off at border line silver 4 after 10 matches but as soon as I did my 10 qualifying matches I ranked down real fast to silver 1 33 wins 30 losses 2 or 3 ties

That’s because you don’t need to play to listen to people’s praises and complaints :stuck_out_tongue: They’re the same now as they were then.

In either case, “Competitive” was:

5v5 only
FF On
Collision On
Solo Queue only
10 placement matches to get sorted into one of 3 levels of bronze, silver, gold, cobalt, and elite ranks
Temp ban for leaving a competitive match

If that sounds just like it is today, that’s because…it is. The only real changes have been allowing parties and changing the matchmaking algorithm.
