I have enjoyed playing on the HAMSTER SERVERS, and find that the admins do a fair if not great job of dealing with Loosers…
As for restarting… Wasn’t there…

Alright…to fill you in I’m know those peeps that own the HAM server…and to fill you in…they only restart maps…if it is won in like first 3 mins…doesn’t everyone WANT to play the map for more than 3 freakin minutes…I mean COME ON PEOPLE!!

Just because you want a fast campaign doesn’t mean shit…we want to play the game too…when a map ends fast ppl get pissed off because they barely get any xp and have no chance on some maps you really need some lvls on…Yea some ppl can deal with out the xp…but some ppl don’t see the point in playin a map for more than like 5 min…PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THE GAME SOMETIMES!!! :eek2: :eek3: :eek:

Hamster Servers are actually run by a bunch of uptight AssHats who kick people who file on friendly mines, door block, and generally try to ruin the game for everyone…
How I am supposed to team wound, place mines in dumb places, and run away from the tug while point whoring my Mad Covert Skilz if they keep kicking me…
Plus they have that dumb ass Shrub Mod that kicks people who TK too much, that is just Ghey…
I avoid these servers as I get tired of re-installing my GUID when they PB ban me…

I’m a little crying bitch! I got kicked off a server for using my half ass made aim bot that I found on the internet. All i can do is cry about it on the splash damage website
Really, does any one buy this trash? If so get your head checked out, this is wack. I’ve played on the HAM servers, and hell, i’ve never seen anything like visa was posting. Given the they do have refs, and the refs bust the balls of any one that is a jerk and screws up the flow of the game is that really bad? Are we all pissed of for the fact that some one takes care of there servers?
Really, between and the Hamsters house of fun and the Austin ET Unlimited servers I think we have some winners. To come post the forms about a major point whoring sucktacular server takes a lot of energy, and i’m thinking this kid got kicked for being a dick.
Of course, I could be wrong, but hell it works for me.

Well not quite that bad but the HAM servers (I think they are clan Hamsters or something like that)
I believe they had a 6-map campaign running (maybe 10) and they would start the map over if you completed the objectives…
Basically it was just a server to see how cool it is when you get a lot of XP, which is pretty ghey in my book…

What’s more, all these Clans pay for their servers, you don’t, and you have no right to play on them or tell them how to Admin them. If you don’t like the way they run their servers, find another one.

Im confused, ppl bitch about when a server isnt monitored or admined and then ppl bitch when it is and they dont follow the rules. If you come onto the server and do something that is against the rules or is just plain stupid then you are warned. If you continue to do it (such as opening the back door on Battary as an axis, just pure stupidity right there that makes the map end before it even gets started) then you get kicked.
See the problem is that there are too many ppl who come onto game servers and are either poster children for why ppl should use condoms, or just arent that bright, or just want to cause shit and then when they have to suffer the consequences for their actions they bitch in a rather non sensible and unintelligable manor.
The typical actions of these ppl are to either call other ppl homosexuals, or start insulting their mothers.
Anyways, if you dont like the servers then fine, but the fact that there is a rather large number of ppl who are on those servers goes to show that you are probably the one that did something that pissed someone off.
If thats the case, come up with the money and create your own server and have whatever kind of setup you desire and do whatever you want, but come into one of the HAM servers or any other server and you gotta play by the admins/refs rules.
Dont like it, too bad, go play somewhere else.

It seems that the HAM servers have been getting a lot of attention here. 
I have played on a number of servers (HAM, Ballz, Phoenix Phrag Phest and a few others) I tend to stay with HAM and Ballz server’s because there usually is a ref or admin on and they react quickly to someone that is ruining the game for people. :rocker:
I was booted from Phoenix Phrag by MajorTits :bash: because I was doing very well and he was on the other team. When I returned I was PB banned. What is that shit? I have never been kicked from HAM. Now given their clan is a solid clan that is usually in the top on pts, but I would rather play there because they are consistent.
Plus I believe someone else said earlier that the HAM servers usually have quite a few ppl who return often, that says something about them, doesn’t it?

Uh, I tend to disagree here, kicking ppl because they aren’t playing as you expect them to play is pretty rude. Fore one there are still a lot of ppl learning this game, you don’t really encourage them by kicking them on the first mistake they make.
Than, even so it is a common strategy to defend the front only, what’s wrong with defending the back? If done propper it can be quite effective! True, a lonely player out there will quickly be overwhelemed and loose his pants but if 2-3 decent ppl go out there they can secure the command post for the axis and defend the back entrance! It’s really hard as allied to climb up the hill on this narrow path if some good axis are sitting at the top, greeting you with their mp40!
It’s just a matter of tast of how to play a map, there isn’t just ‘the one way’ and kicking ppl just because they have a different strategy is definitively rude.
If you want things to happen your way only you should play clan games, on a public server you can’t really expect this kind of teamplay.

I do agree with senator’s comment above. You don’t kick peeps for playing how they want to. I’ve been included in a little commando team out the back door, and we effectively blocked any chance of allies getting NEAR back door, and had a good covert ops who kept blowing ramp, and a great fld ops ( )NARF(Immortal, so wadda ya expect? 
) who prevented allies from getting a concentrated group at building site who could have pushed their way through the defense.

Well all I know is that when I was on there they did a few annoying things on Battery (they had 3 members all on axis while I was on allies)…
After I went engy and built the ramp, snuck past axis up top, and planted the gun controls in under 5 minutes they restarted the map when they knew they couldn’t get disarm.
One of their guys went engy and planted and disarmed dyno’s by their ammo/health rack inside their base to exploit the bug and gain XP. Exploiting bugs is the cheapest thing in my opinion, even though restarting a map you know you’re going to loss is really cheap also.
It’s their server and they can do whatever they want with it which is the reason I don’t play on it any more. There are a thousand of other servers to choose from.
This thread is about lame servers, not to argue the admins’ rights to run the server how they see fit. If I was paying money to play on the server I’d have a huge beef about it but since I don’t I use free will and play elsewhere.

Senator, you really oughta learn how to read. If you re-read what it is that you quoted, I said that they are warned first that what they are doing is against the rules. then if they continue to do it anyways they are kicked.
If they are new players then hey they will be given fair warning, but most of the time its just idiots who come in and purposely try to ruin things for everyone else. There are in fact idiots that just stand at the back door and open it over and over again to let allies in.
Some good points all around though, however once again, when it comes to the points Visa is trying to make, yeah I have been witness to some instances where the server gets restarted over and over again and it pisses me off too. Those issues on the Ham servers for the most part have been resolved.

Well when it comes to lame servers my motto is fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me :disgust:
There’s too many decent, fairly-adminned servers out there for me to waste time on the Ham servers.
