A little off topic,

I was in Germany recently ( hannover and berlin) and noticed alot of germans w/ the rebel flag ( confederate states of america) , I guess it has some popularity for reasons not known to me.

What struck me was that Germany had banned symbols of naziism, flags especially, and I figured they would be more sensitive to the meanings of these symbols and their relative offensiveness to certain people.

Im curious, is the rebel flag popular in Germany ? and if so, why?

I dont believe in banning symbols, but certainly understand the sentiment.

No the rebel flag isnt realy popular if u had look at the che guvara (how written dont mind).
The popularity is for the rebel flag is in his name REBEL flag,… not more.
BTW there are some people calling themselves RockerBillys,…they are more likely to find in the right spectrum of politc. They show them because they are fans of the 50´s (strange argumentation but it is not my)
