Didnt have a clue that this was 11 years old first time I connected to a server
I played goldrush… Can remember it…
One of my friend asked to also test…
Did get a multikill in for me with the tank mounted mg42 in the slope down to barrier nbr1
He laughed and told the game was to simple…
I played with the mouse mouse plate at the laptop
Did get double kill after double kill
Then now… 4 years later (with a little break) i wonderif it was bots…
LOL
Well keep going
Looking forward to see the newsletter in ma mailbox saying:
Wolfenstein enemy territory surviving 15 years!
The only pc game in the world that have survived that long!
A big fat good luck et!

Baited me on that one. I don’t really understand. Look at games like DayZ, especially the old mod. This game thrives on almost nothing else than customization. The same is and was always true for W:ET. You have missed a great part of the game if you think otherwise. Just be open, accept that there can be trash, and enjoy the one or other gold mine!!!
Congratz Wolf:ET.
I made a server count check sometime last week. Server count was about 1000 (2.55 and 2.6b). About 1 and a half year it was more of course, something around 2000. Perfectly normal. But still great.
gratz to my loved ET
HD remake pls
W:ET was the first multiplayer game I got hooked on. Got years of fun out of this game.
I would pay for a HD remake of this game (must still be playable on linux though:penguin:)
Ought to get a petition going for this.
There is too less info for outsiders on the legacy renderer.
Some compressed update would be cool on what was achieved so far.
I guess there is not much to say for end users as the new renderer is still in development and we’re still waiting for the first stable release of ET:L.
It baffles me how you are so close YET so far from that W:et experience .
U came close with et:qw, but the only servers i liked was no vehicles,
Hope u have something in the works ,that takes us further from all this nonsense MP gaming.
Apart from 11 years Playing ET, I still well remember the Time Where the RTCW Multiplayer Beach Map was in Test Phase and I thought that this Game style is Going to become a Major Hit. Some years later when I openend my RTCW Game of the Year Box, I remember that I installed the GTK radiant (think it had different Name back then) First Time and I was Graving for understanding how I can create such a Map myself. I Could Not Imagine That 11 years later we now Not only still Play the Game, we also still have a Community of excellent skilled mappers (Where I do Not count myself to) that are making awesome New Maps. I think the Key Why this Game is so successful is that the Concept (Natural storyline, no Science Fiction B.S) Rocks and that a Lot of Professional help is Mixed with creative enthusiasm of younger People to create New Maps.
at least more bottom Earth as e.g. Doom3, half-life, quakewars just Name some of them
If One Day People favour making ET Maps Where the Engineer can Fly and the FieldOps can Call some airstrikes from a Space Ship I will for sure delete the radiant and my ET Installation and concentrate on Playing Board Games
I played around 50 hours of it…
I am also responsible for about 20 of them downloads over the years…
