got some problems these days…
i have installed this week Wolf ET on Windows7, 64 bit and i have a 24 inch samsung widescreen.
but when playing Wolf ET now, i can change the resolution like i also did before when i had win XP. but i keep getting at the left and the right of the screen 2 black strokes, like it dont want to go to widescreen format.
but on windows xp it worked fine in the passed…
any1 have a clue what this can be, and how to fix it ?

still i have more problems.
when playing in XP 32 bit (4gb ram), everything was running as smooth as it can be. never had any graphical lagg (no internet lagg)
but now playing in win 7 64bit (8gb ram) i have graphical laggs as hell. it is like playing on some old rotten PC (while i have quad core and 8800 gts video card). for example whooting a panzer gives me like 1 fps 
its not normal!
i already tryed changing com_maxfps, hunkmegs to 512, rate is 25000 …
does any1 have any idea how to fix it ?
no idea, but… compatibility mode?
also try change ur desktop color depth to 16.
did you screen come with any kind of drivers or extra software?
hmm you got basically the same setup as me so strange.
have you tried running ET in a window and then ctrl-alt-delete ad check out if something weird is going on?
What happens when you set the affinity for ET.exe to 1 core? You can do this by going into the task manager (ctrl + alt + del) and right-click on the ET.exe process.

(or really for anything wasnt 4 enough? :o )
p.s., very low chance of helpfulness but try an older driver. once i had this when still had an nvidia card; until they came out with a fixed version, any1 playing et had to downgrade.

tried to connect to servers and they kicked me for punkbuster.
said go to this site and manual update:

did that [chose: Wolfenstien , updated punkbuster], now ET.exe will not load:
“ET.exe has stopped working”
also tried complete re-install Wolf ET, same thing happens.
I think Punkbuster update is not working right ?
anybody see this same error?

I had that too with PB and Windows7 but as soon as i rightclick > run as administrator the .exe file, all worked out fine. The PB update did not work me me either so i used the tool from evenbalanced.com wich worked perfectly.

try running programs like 3d max and Revit without 8 gb 
(especially the rendering)
i installed also PhysX drives, and all suddenly seem to work nice now…
cant really believe this was THE thing fo fix, but it works now, so i feel blessed again
