I was about to say the same haha.
wishes box
Did I already mentioned I want it to be fast!.. as W:ET is, not like CODx etc… Main reason I dont play em.
Sorry if this has been covered, I did a few forum searches but couldn’t see it:
I assume at the start of a game there will be a lobby system. Can the leader have:
- A method of forcing the game to connect to a dedi server / series of possible dedi servers
- When forcing the dedi server ip, the option to supply a public AND private ip (for if the leader is behind NAT and lobby members are external
- The ability to do this via GUI - ie a button on the lobby screen for the leader to press to pop up the server browser window - where there is a tab for: ALL, CUSTOM (filtered), LAN, FAVOURITES, or you can manually enter an ip in.
Whatever ips/address is selected can then be shown in the main lobby screen - and the lobby members can all see which servers are selected too (if they wish)
If no custom IPs are selected, the lobby will auto select a dedi server at random.
I think this would take all the pain out of playing online with custom servers etc, and should pretty much accomodate every user.
I’m sure that most of these things have already been incorporated, but confirmation always makes me feel warm n fuzzy
Good point about join by IP, this is necessary especially for LAN. You often get serverbrowsers failing to find LANservers while they work just fine by join by IP.
Yeah it’s definately a must have feature.
Using a console is good but it would be nice to have the ability to do it as less of an afterthought.
i wish there is an awesome implementation of antilag, i almost prefer none, where you had to lead your target a little. having to dodge for cover one bullet too early because you can get hit through walls (from your pov) is still a little unintuitive, and to keep shooting at someone after they’ve disappeared behind a wall because you may get one extra hit feels strange (this may be a bug since it doesn’t happen often, but it is possible). talking about the antilag implementation in etpro.
beside gore, and explosions and such.
I hope that i dont get motion sickness, i never had such an thing.
yet i noticed an mild uprise when watching the video of the ark/airport.
so i dunno. test it on old folks before release…?
ps:
no offense too old folks.
Really smart AI. The AI in ET:QW (360) was excellent imo, and my friends and I would always do humans vs bots at LAN parties.
3 big things I hope they have for consoles are -
fully customizable button
Server browsing with info like ping, number of players, map, etc.
auto balance
these features will most definitely be implemented on PC, and they are some things I like about PC gaming and hope carry over to consoles.
I forgot to mention that auto balance was already confirmed
http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=205305&postcount=600
that’s auto balance on player numbers, as in there is always 16 players, it doesn’t balance skill level
that’s auto balance on player numbers, as in there is always 16 players, it doesn’t balance skill level
I already knew that was confirmed, which I why I specifically asked for auto balance in terms of number of players. This is one reason why the unlocks and XP won’t unbalance the game, since you will be playing against players the same rank as you.
my main wish (and it’s cheesy I know) is the game it’s self leveling system, 8 player co-op, and persistent customization I’m sold.
I think there should be some sort of Cinema mode that would allow players to go back and watch matches to see what they were doing wrong or what the enemy was doing right. There could also be a function inside of Cinema mode where a player could take screenshots to save to their HD and upload online to show epic or funny things that have happened during matches.
Uncharted 2 has this and I think it’s really dope to see people posting pics of the hilarious antics that go on during matches.
