IoN| Hotel of Hell [WIP!]

THE STORYLINE:
The axis have taken over a holiday hotel on a remote island and have fortified it and used it to store nucular missisles, they have targed america and will launch in 15 mins… (you get the point… blow up the controls)

I second that. Lighting can do a lot for a map.

The settings is new though… Keep improving it!

A little weird, but a good first map. Keep at it!
Also, you might consider surrounding it in some terrain to make it a little nicer.

Dude, first let me say you are crazy. Second let me say you are crazy. Third let me say, crazy but in a good way.

I got a good laugh at the comments and the map. I am not laughing at your work, just that over-crowded missile silo is funny and add onto that, it is transparent. You got lounge couches in a room with no windows :slight_smile:

You also call it a Holiday Hotel…that looks quite depressing to be a hotel :slight_smile:

Ok, enough of the good-natured criticism, truth is I like and it will probably be a fun little map to warm-up on before scrims. It could look a little bit more alive…maybe you can steal a fountain and some trees and put them in there…and perhaps a beach? Either that or change it from the Holiday Hotel storyline and just make it an Axis missile fortress…less fun of course.

Please excuse my laughing, you got to admit, that transparent building with the 9 big-ass missiles stuffed in it looks hilarious :slight_smile: Keep up the good work, I just wish I had half your skills in map-making.

Cool map. I will be putting in on my server. The only criticism I have is the 2nd axis spawn. Once the allies capture the spawn flag in the basement, the axis spawn on the 2nd floor? That actually makes it easier for the axis. You should move the 2nd axis spawn out into the courtyard or ammo hut or somewhere else. This would make capturing the spawn flag advantageous for the allies… just my $.02

Oh and don’t listen to these guys, the glass missile silo r0x!

Btw, i think i made a typo on it… i put beta 4 for beta one coz it was alpha 4 then i renamed it :S

About the axis spawn… yeah maybe… but im not sure…

although i will be harsh and say its not the prettiest map i think what you have done by just adding lighting has made you map better 10 fold

keep up the good work, hopfuly we can expect to see some great maps from you in the future
