Very early stages, one objective in the shots, repair the bridge (not broken yet).

The caves also need more attention, so forgive the messy lines, im trying to make a phong shader for the texture.

great looking map

surgestions, lighting is a bit plain especialy inside, try and be creative and make good use of the inverted falloff with static lights, it makes me cry when mappers ruin a brilinat map with spherical lighting

On the bottom pic the shelf seem a bit too thin and the light behind them too big, maby re proportioning these would be a good idea

keep up the good work, any chance of a top down look on the layout etc? more objective info?

looks nice, but yes some nice lighting would add to teh cave effect

Light is being redone right this second, ill post some follow up screens when i think i got it looking ok.

Objectives are literally done as i go. Just like all my maps. Some may disagree, but it’s just my way of doing things. But i plan to Have the Allies build the bridge (6th shot, just visible) To get across the casm. Obviously command posts for both teams, with the eventual outcome leading to Blowing up a Missile, or somehing to that effect, with other objectives along the way.

I figured how to do my own phong shader, thans to socks tutorial, and the difference is immense. Added it to the darker dirt texture. The cave walls are next!

Removing the lighter coloured rock, and going to replace it with terrain.

ive got nothing against that ligther coloured rock but i think it would be nicer with the terrain like you said :slight_smile:

Yes, it does look nasty, i can see that. I do think the terrain would also be better becuase then i could add different textures, that blend well, instead of just a single plain one.
Ill post a screenshot when ive added it in :slight_smile:

yes maybe a darker texture, i think that would do the trick
btw dont wanna be pain in the ass but have you got screens of the missile? i would like to see the missile aswell :slight_smile:

LoL, i haven’t got that far yet, only just made what you see. Was thinking of a kind of space rocket though.

why dont you go for the V2 rocket there are enough models out there and its realistich :slight_smile: then you still have youre missile and a realistich missile

Small Update.

Resized the light textures and changed the colour.

Completely changed the terrain, resized textures, changed the bridge, added lights to the Upper bridge.

Same as before, better shot of the bridge.

New lighting in the Tunnels, just off from the caves.

Changed the lighting in the caves, still changing constantly.

thats much better some realy nice lighting there, i think u missed the coronas though they realy add some realism to the lights

are thoes red lights?

you should change teh colour of the coranas to match the light

also judging by the rest of your map i think you could make something more intesting that a solid concreet wall, try adding some depth and angles brushes, slpiting it into sections so you can use different textures? or maby have some large pipes coming out… something like that
