The Allies assume that the Axis have a supply depot in a small tunesian desert town.
B.J. Blazkowicz who has been sent by the OSA has verified the assumption.
A small allied squad is trieing to sabotate the axis troops.

hmmmm. since it’s not on your to-do list, i thought i’d better ask you: are you sure you want to keep
it that way
? i don’t mind wether it’s a counterstrike port, but the map as seen on the last screenshot
looks waaay too much counterstrike-ish for my liking. where is all the detail gone that we know from
goldrush and oasis?

apart from the very right gate on the last pic your buildings have one entrance and one window each…
those people don’t like the the sunlight, eh? make those walls have windows, make those walls not being
plain, make those streets have holes and bumps… just look at the ramp on the left side… the engine
could do far more detail - and i know you can too!

Yea, maybe some trees, a cart, a truck etc. would be nice… but I wouldnt spend too much time on re-building houses for the sake of windows. As it will be a short and fast map I don’t think it needs detail to attract a players attention.
Glad to read you start with engs only can plant the dyno… will be interesting how it plays. Can’t wait for the playtest (put me on the list :smiley: I ll play eng).

May be there will be another version included in the pk3 with more detail (the bsp is around 3.3 MB).
I’ve tested palms at targetplace B already.

Another version? Why that? Well… if you don’t want to adapt the graphics to ET (more detail, trees trucks etc.) its ok… stick to what you want. Don’t add another version just because other ppl critize that there s not much detail. As long as you don’t need the things (like trucks or boxes) for gameplay/ cover they are completely optional.
I think another version would be pretty silly.

Btw: just an idea: as this is a new gametype I thought we could as well give it a new name. Its no longer ordinary LMS. What do you think of calling the gametype “commando”? This would suggest mapnames like cmd_bridge or cmd_dust.
If the gametest works out I think my next map will be a commando-map too, so we have a small set of maps for that very gametype in short.

Ahhh. In Quakeworld most of out engines support full q3 and full haflife map support. We dont need conversions anymore. we just play the orginals with some .ent’s :stuck_out_tongue:

A few unpaid coders who are having some fun did this. And its really beutfiul to see. Bunnyhopping around dust with a rocket launcher and lightnin gun is really satisfying.

Now i will get to play it in ET!

Which means i will have played it in all the games i have played :stuck_out_tongue: Except i have NEVER ever played counterstrike in the first place :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s a good idea to have a new name for this game type.
I’ve also thought about a new name.
But I’ve only came up with “LMSO” (Last Man Standing Objective).

Well I only came up with that idea because it would be cool for someone who wants to play these maps. When he has a look at the in-game-browser all servers featureing this kind of maps can be found in one place. That is why I suggested a standardization of the mapnames in these lines:
cmd_bridges or lmao_dust_et or else.

Whatever we/nUllSkillz choose/s, it would just be good if all mappers doing maps for this gametype stuck to this map-naming-standard.

id put it like this:

if valve dont care enough to reply, they probably wont care enough for you to use it

but then again valve are a bunch of ass hole - LONG LIVE SPLASH DAMAMGE! :smiley:
