Winter event cheer is a grind!

With so many event cases and reward trinkets etc, how are we supposed to get all that with just cheer collecting.
I get you want us to pay, but no ones stupid enough to buy all the contents with money. the skin cases can be bought or with cheer but once again its random rng!
Do you guys just want to play the lotto game this Christmas just like EA’s been doing with BF2!

lets see… after playing many hours of ‘casual objective’ games, i’ve realised I collect anywhere from 50-90~ cheer depending on how long the game is.

A full 15min causal objective natted me 89 cheer at one time (lets just say 90 cheer)!

so if you just played causal objective games (not stopwatch)

a weapon case (skins) costing 2500.
so…2500/90=27.7 games lasting 15min long each.
so…27.7x15min=415min/60min=6.9 hours of grind for one case.

a 3500 cheer winter event case (100% all mercs)
so…3500/90=38.8 (lets say 39~) games
so…39x15min=585/60min=9.75 hours for one case.

a 4500 cheer weapons case (100% all weapons) unlocked winter weapon case
so…4500/90=50 games
so…50x15min=750min/60min=12.5 hours for one case.

a this point, I’de prob just go for elite cases at they only cost 2000 cheer!

I’m just saving up for the 15000 5 bundle cases so I save 2500 doodads, after that idc too much.

Is not a must to buy all things they have in event shop. I will buy only keys and maybe that proxy thing.

If you do stopwatch (server browser) you can probably get around 200-250 per match, I’ve gotten 170’s and not only have I joined after the match started, but it also didn’t take 30 whole minutes to finish.

The Cheer earn rate is affected by player performance in the same way Credits are. The base rate is 5/minute, being increased to a maximum of 7.5/minute if a player has the highest score in the server, and their team wins.

Therefore, your average potato should expect to earn a case key after 4 hours and 10 minutes of in-game time, whereas your average good player would earn them after 2 hours and 45 minutes.

Which is what you should be doing - stockpiling keys. That is if you don’t wish to buy into SD’s RNG shit. And after all the grind is over, you get to enjoy your battle scarred ugly skin for a gun you don’t use.

of course its a grind to farm cheer especially when you looks at the percentage chances applied the skin cases, its worse than elite cases lol…e.g. 1.1% chance for M4A1 seriouly!! devs having a laugh with this rng crap!!

You don’t. You are supposed to get some of the things by collecting cheers, and the rest by paying for them.

Hm, are they really going to let you sell keys you bought with event currency? If so, it might be a good time to get into bot programming. Can’t be that hard to write a bot that simulates a 12 year old playing a katana only Phantom.

I got a so so Jav from a regular cases drop so all of my cheers will now go to trinkets (likely gold prox and arty) and the remainder to weapon keys. Of course I haven’t been able to play much so only 4300 cheers in the bank.

I’ve made around 5-6k Cheers without actually playing. Plug in a controller, join a server, jam your analog sticks so you walking Into a wall in spawn, then go to sleep. Some nights I’ve been kicked pretty quick, but others I’ve stayed in the server the entire night and come out with 1000-1500
