Windows 10 20-30 Less FPS

I know it’s obvious why this is happening (because Windows 10), I just wanted to make sure it doesn’t go unnoticed. This game already needs serious optimization in the first place.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
AMD Phenom™ II X6 1100T Processor (6 CPUs), ~3.3GHz
8GB RAM

dxdiag

Odds are the video driver you’re now using is different. Windows 10 likes to update it, if you were specifically using an old driver that’ll be your problem. Unfortunately the way to stop the auto update right now is pretty icky.

Also note very carefully step 1, which links to another article which is necessary.

Took me a couple of boots to stop it, had to make sure it wasn’t queued to update first, so let it update, then disable updates but not hide anything - because there’s nothing to hide since it’s not queued - then install the old update, then check again so it queues and hide it.

Unfortunately the setting located somewhere unimportant that stops Windows Update from updating drivers is broken in 10 right now…

Hi, i got a question concerning driver: is the lastest driver good on w10 in regard of DB performance? because for myself and others people, i struggle with up to date driver.
And because W10 need update driver, that’s why i ask.
It the performance are equal to old nvidia driver about performance?
thx

I have already updated the drivers. I was also already on that driver when I was on Windows 7 and I had no issues. I don’t think it’s related to the driver, just how Dirty Bomb works with Windows 10.
One thing to note, is most people actually get better FPS after upgrading to Windows 10.

Well the only other thing I can think of is a config reset but I’m assuming you have that covered.

I think I might have found part of the issue.

Well AMD is already fine for Win 10 so I believe it would be your graphics card currently, as I I’m not sure if they’ve actually added Win 10 driver compatibility for Nvidia. If there are any new Nvidia drivers, download them right away.

I’ve already updated to the lastest drives.

Does Nvidia have a Win 10 (64-bit/32-bit) compatible driver yet?

Yes, though the Windows 7/8 drivers were working fine as well tbh.
