Will we get a Christmas present from SD?

You may find some post of mine without “peace” at the end idd cuz I forget sometime, its quite a signature, not really seeing the relation with trolling anyway.

Speaking about troll… quoting an old post about nail not buying the game… Now I find this hypocrital

Was just teasing cuz I found amazing you dig up some nail’s post just to point out he said he might not buy it cuz of steam, and then ad another aggressive layer about how steam will be needed even for updates etc… So its pointless to buy it to play offline (which is still another brilliant idea oO /sarcasm)

If you jump out of the blue with such statements and quote, I find it legitimate to tease you about your love for steam you display(ed) that much.

Now if you cant stand criticism its not really my problem.

Have a good day.

Peace

I don’t think its trolling to remind a guy of what he said, especially as he still seems to intend to pirate the game and says it publicly in a plausibly deniable manner.

Its not being aggressive to state that Steam will be needed for updates, I’m just reminding him his piracy will get him an inferior version of the game. Can you find many or any examples of Steamworks games offering updates outside of Steam?

(back on topic bitte)

(Tanzverbot) #24

I need potholders! And a new alarm clock!

(Nail) #25

jeez, just cause a guy has a peg-leg, eye patch and a parrot, everyone calls him a pirate

I never said I would pirate the game, just that I would endevour to run my LAN without Steam accessing my network, I now have a second network to play with, things may change. After further investigation, it seems game can be authorized from any computer then played on another, this will probably be the answer to my personal Steam problems but if you feel the need to continue to attack me, I can give you a list of other topics we’re sure to disagree on

Chambered Nautilus is cuter than you btw

[OnT] I want lots of concept art for Xmas

(3Suns) #26

Oh, and here I thought the “staff” comment was going to be you saying, “We wouldn’t let Christmas come and go without sharing, in the holiday spirit, some special graphical goodies”.

Just lettin’ you know that this old fart is ready for some new media, too. :stroggbanana: :penguin: :stroggtapir:

A BRINK special day for MineCraft? How about some parkour mining? No need for ladders, lol

(Sry fot the OT)

(Senethro) #28

Nope! AFAIK this doesn’t work.

(LyndonL) #29

So long as you BUY Brink I wouldn’t overly mind you doing this: You can most likely authorise the game on one PC, then copy the game files to another. A lot of Steam games can run by just running the exe file.
Even SteamWorks games can do it. There are guides to getting games like Left4Dead running without using Steam and then connecting to 3rd party communities like Garena to play online without going through the Steam servers.
This of course will fragment the community however. Just use Steam!

For Xmas I would greatly like more gameplay footage. Maybe 5 mins of running around Founders Tower (if that isn’t the final mission at least - don’t wanna ruin the surprise too much)… Maybe some footage of one of the first maps in the campaign

(Vaporman) #30

How did we get on the subject of piracy in a Christmas related thread?

(BioSnark) #31

I am willing to provide a good home for more brink posters from sd/beth as holiday charity.

(DepressedOptimist) #32

Maybe we could here something from the Brink Soundtrack for Christmas.
Shank did it for less of a reason.
