The only thing that at least gets me the skins are the keys and I’m glad they made it purchasable with Cheers. But what happens if the event is over? Will they implement a new currency or we’ll just buy them like TF2 and CSGO keys?
Will there be ways to be able to buy keys with in game currency?

People have been asking SD in the past to come up with a non-P2W way to support them financially. Now we will see if they are gonna put their money where their mouth is.

I’ve spent plenty on DB already and I’d be inclined to continue doing so. Not this bullshit though. I don’t want to only make progress when I’m spending money.

Based on the video released here: https://youtu.be/OXdW4Cj92yE there is going to be a permanent new currency separate from credits to use to buy case keys (the blue currency next to ranked points at the beginning of the video). I have stopped playing recently so I haven’t checked out the new update to see but from what I gather there is a free way to earn the new skins from just playing the game.

Gonna be tough to get all 6 trinkets and an event skin or 2. Full stopwatch draw match pulled in about 160 event credits. 100 full matches 2+ hours of play every day…

That’s just the holiday event currency right? AFAIK keys will only be purchasable with event currency OR cash. So stock up!!
I would like to know if event currency will be converted at the end of the event? Second, I assume keys will be purchasable with event currencies from all future events as well?

Well I got one skin case early on and nothing since…since I don’t like paying for RNG I guess just save cases till the trading system is introduced.

Thanks for dropping us your thoughts all. Keep the ideas coming! There’s no guarantees things in that area will change, but seeing what you come up with could stir future updates to systems in-game.

I read or heard somewhere that the Cheers currency will be converted to credits 1:1 at end of event.

I would pay for the key if I knew what skin I’m getting but once again it’s random. This is nothing more than tempting player with free cases that’s locked!!

Paying for random with “maybe” is just gambling. With my luck I have to buy x 100 kyes just for one skin that I like ,well “maybe” I can get it.
I like to buy something with 100% of chance and pay a little more instead of random .
Just opened a skin case with key and got a shitty revolver but I don’t have 1 hour with it…
