Like will you have on the resistance team a “Sgt. Hartman” who appears in every cut scene yelling at everyone and saying “Bull ****” a bit too often?
Or will we have a squad of anonymous soldiers each level?
Either way would be fine in my opinion though I’d like to get this question answered so I can sleep tonight.
There are npcs, integral to the storyline, that will appear in cut-scenes. Brother Chen, who can be seen in the Resistance cut-scene that was on the latest gameplay video, being one.

I wondering that too… I mean it can have single-player. But it would be great if there would be actual characters to care about etc.
Players appear in cutscenes (not sure if all, or just the best three or something), along with NPCs meant for this cutscenes.
Well, I think that was the point behind including your (and your friends’) character(s) in the cutscene. Additional emotional investment.

And yeah, there will be some NPCs you have to escort in some missions, there will be those NPCs that talk in the cutscenes and there will be your leaders but other than that it’ll be your character and other people’s characters fighting.
