Shotguns do way too much damage in my opinion and I think that they should not on shot every merc in the game

Even when i do engage them from long range they tank half of me health if they hit one headshot. They either have to decrease the pellet count or decrease the accuracy overall for them

Yeah the thing is even at long range they are still able to kill people(not one-shot/two-shot ofc)
I have killed people with the shotgun with distances that are highly unrealistic.
With that said, shotgun shouldnt be a primary weapon, it should have been a secondary weapon. That way it can more easely be balanced and they can nerf the shotgun so that it wont one-shot people anymore.

but if you one shot someone who are in long range highest probability is
they are dying (10-5hp) which i can also do with Deagle .50

All I know is that shotguns are extremely annoying since there is very little skill taken to use them, but provide such great damage and power at close range. I would really like if they were all [b]much MUCH[/b ] more accurate but did a bit less damage at close range, probably one less pellet on each. This would make them more reliable at range due to more pellets hitting, but still being powerful at close range with the ability to one shot headshot. This means with skill they can become more powerful than they currently are, but without skill are a bit weaker.
its easy to dodge most shotgun players, esp if the ping is low for both players
protip1: spam very quick very short strafe
protip2: change direction just before their next shot is ready

Personally, I’d like to see less of a star pattern, and more of a honeycomb pattern, and the pellets are dispersed on a horizontal plane, so we can hit more than one person.

You do realize your shotgun has
Limited range
a long delay between shots
unreliable headshot damage since it’s all pellets
And a longer ttk than other guns, assuming you can get your meatshot
To me, I feel like shotguns could use a repurpose, being able to kill two lit people with one blast would be pretty awesome, and worth of using over the SMGs if it works well enough.
The shotguns are almost perfect i think…
They have close range advantages and long range disadvantages…

instead of normal pellets double insta kill, why not repurpose it with
“D-D-DRAGON BREATH”

apllied with a little bit of napalm to make your opponents “Lit” for 10dmg/sec for 3 sec. The DPS can be removed if received healing.
A Shotgun is OP but killing snipers with a Blishlok from the other side of the map is OK.
I suggest looking at some ranked gameplay or tournament matches.
Hardly anyone uses a shotgun loadout THAT’S how OP shotguns are :’)
