Will ingame companies be recognized more?

Gh Research is company who focuses on medical research, looking at ability items, no merc shows to be carrying anythinf related to them, but their london HQ is being attacked for samples in bridge I believe.
They’re also the designer of an eye for proxy, which is where some more fluff on them being a medical focused company is explained more.

Trifold states they’re behind a lot of military hardware, besides a possible proxy eye.

CoreSec States they’re behind a lot of gear dedicated to “protecting and serving those who protect and serve” in their proxy eye bio.

Ghost Clip seem to be designers of Javelin’s launcher and Ammo printer.

Mercserv is the company behind providing mercenaries for both the CDA and Jackal.

Do you think or hope that more of this will be fleshed out in the future, more notable ingame branding to show where the mercs get their equipment, maybe advertisement for companies around maps like how there for the fictional Steg company, the nakers of the stillnotto stilletto, multi tool and pda for engineers?

Finally, by the looks of the new Batons and Hurtsall rifle, they’re being designed by Pirin Medical, a possible Bulgarian company who are the creator’s of Spark’s reviver, maybe paddles too, judging by their visual likeness.
This company could be looking into weapon manufacturing with the Hurtsall (whks projectiles could be possibly slightly powered by electric coils) and a batin for self defense, using their pattented electrical engineering from defibrillators on these batons.

SD seems to be smoothing out the lore behind the game, I’m sure they’ll add more later on. I mean, they reworked all of the map introductions to make them more continuous with each other, it would seem pointless if they didn’t go further

It doesn’t exactly need to be story or lore, I mean some more possible brand recognition, advertising in universe, advertisements and weapons with visible logos of these companies.

Funny timing, I’ve been fooling around with a new DB Genome Project signature for the SD forums (still can’t have one here :():

You’ve already mentioned Pirin Medical, Stimtek Medical is the logo on the regular Phoenix’s helmet and butt pack, while Hülle is the brand on the Obsidian variant’s chest pack.

Edit:

  • Got my promotion to Commander and the right to have a signature a few hours after posting this :slight_smile:
  • Still can’t use pictures in there :frowning:

This, please, every merc has noticable brand logo in their skin and I think that should be a new skin for the Merc

That would be an interesting set of case series that.
It follows the default color scheme and branding of a specific merc, but available to them all.

For example like a Proximity crate series, for Proxy it looks default but with all 3 augments/weapon combinations, for everyone else, they receive her color scheme, these could be a great alternate to the woodland colors of the bronze rarity.

We could have a morality system, in which faction we choose daily missions/equipment.
Siding with one or double-triple-quadruple crossing everybody :slight_smile:

Seems odd, I made a skin thread a long time ago where instead of a friendly/enemy skin its an attacker and defender skinset where the attackers are obviously Jackal and Defenders CDA inspired.
