Will I get banned for being good?

(superMesa) #1

I mostly play Vassili or Redeye and I get a lot of hackusations from the enemy team. They threaten to send videos to the game devs and stuff like that. I can’t actually get banned from that can I?

(darlingClaymore) #2

Don’t ask us, ask yourself, if you are using hacks. I mean I call hacks on anything so I’m not a good example. But I know 99% of people don’t call hacks if its not true, but that’s just me. I rarely see it. I’m not calling you a hacker, it might be a combination of lag, and bad players. You are maybe a experienced fps player, if you are a lvl 1-5 and you are dominating I would expect it.

(superMesa) #3

Well most of the time it is bad players but recently people from teams have started accusing me. I am also level 17

(XavienX) #4

As long as they don’t catch you using a hack system which at times, NGS accidently mistakens third-party programs that are harmless such as recording softwares as hacking softwares. So as long as you’re clean, you’re good.

(Frogteam) #5

Nope, unless you’re hacking it’s not very likely that they’ll find any reason to ban you. I mean, if your hit rate is above like 90%, maybe tone down your 1337 skills for pubs. But I’ve got a 52% hit rate with the Felix, and I’m a terrible sniper, so I’m sure good snipers can achieve a much higher hit rate.

tl;dr you’re fine,

This is a real Signature.

(gg2ez) #6

If they wanna record you, NGS will probably boop up and ban them for using recording software

(srswizard) #7

I don’t think that the GMs are banning anyone that isn’t either detected by the system (not false positives, but actual cheats), or super obviously cheating on the provided video evidence e.g. “shotgun sniper rifles”

That said, I haven’t seen any blatantly obvious cheaters in a good while now, just one or two kinda suspicious players.

(Aazhyd) #8

Dirty Bomb players are all very bad, and we’d like to keep it that way.

So yes: good players will definitely get banned. Please go back to CS:GO.

Hell no. I hope SD and Nexon are competent enough to check people who get reported often.
Personally, I report every guy I find fishy in games.
SD has to check them unless we get Overwatch. All I/we can do is report them.
You should not fear to be banned IF you’re not using any bullshit program which is blacklisted or other shittery. And even if you’re godlike and snipe multiple godlike Badges in a OBJ game, there is a visible difference between cheaters and legit pro players. You can see it in every shooter. Especially Quake/UT. There are legit people who are on a whole new level, we, noral people can’t achieve withoug bein Asian.

So, just be good, don’t use any third-party-bullshit and don’t cheat and you’re fine, even if anyone says you’re cheating.
And never let a friend or your smaller brother cheat on your steam. But if, make sure to make a thread here about your little brother cheating in Dirty Bomb and that you was banned innocently

(hippie) #10

well if you are genuinely not cheating then you have nothing to worry about

So many assumptions filling your words.

(watsyurdeal) #12

When you get reported I would think it also saves a demo log and what processes you had running to see if there were any cheats. I would think at least, cause I swear I’ve gotten reported at least a couple times but nothing ever happens.

You missed the irony?

(SpectraBlitz) #14

Well, @HonourBound hasn’t been banned for this yet, and from playing with him for 90% of my time played he’s almost certainly been reported 50+ times.

(Ctrix) #15

Well I would hope if you report someone it logs things like Headshot percentage (if that’s 100% that might be kind of a big deal), kills with timestamps, that sort of thing.
Even the most pro of players won’t have an accuracy over 40% (personally I got 20% in BF3 which tracks this publicly, and that was exceptionally good compared to everything I’ve seen. And mostly it was that high because I used a slow high damage Assault Rifle. SMGs will miss more. Check it. )
http://i.imgur.com/yCpJcoG.png
I’ve seen aimbotters purposefully shoot the ground so their accuracy stats wouldn’t be stupid high.

But yeah, nobody has ever gotten banned for being too good. Support will always not ban unless they’re 100% sure. And 100% certainty, that’s really hard, even if you are cheating.

(PurpleNurple) #16

If someone hackusates you don’t egg them on. It’s not worth it and can be taken as a confession if a GM is already suspicious of you.

I honestly haven’t seen a blatant or someone I’d be extremely convinced was cheating in months so it looks like NGS is doing its job.

(SirMurder) #17

Get to min lvl 10 servers lol!

(superMesa) #18

I haven’t been banned yet so I think I’m good
