Will I be able to run Brink?

I’m planning on getting a new computer here soon.

Here are the specs of the one I’m thinking of getting:

CPU: 2nd generation Intel Core i5-2390T Processor

RAM: 8GB

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450

Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz

Hard Drive: 1TB 7200RPM

Do you think this will work well with Brink?

Probably not, you got Ati. Look for some equally priced Nvidia card or something if you want to Brink.

I am going to go against the crowd and tell you that ATI is the way to go. There have been some screw ups with performance in Brink, but that varies by card. I’ve been running the game smoothly since release, using an HD 5850. People have posted complaints concerning performance while using the card you posted, so it probably is not the way to go. Plus that card is pretty top of the line, there is no reason to reach in your pocket and spend more money than you have to. No point to having such a high end card when there are no games that really need that type of power to play at the highest settings.

If I were you I would seriously consider picking up the 5850, won’t regret it. It’s very reliable, been using it for 2 and a half years with no issues.

I run Brink on a system that doesn’t quite meet the minimum requirements and I get around 20 fps on average, but it is playable.

Windows XP (SP 3)
Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
nVidia 8600 GT

Well I was trying to get a computer with a nice graphics card already built in that meets Brink’s requirements so I don’t have to worry about buying and intalling a graphics card to it. And hopefully dosn’t cost a fortune.
