I can’t believe I am the first person to comment on the vague similarity between the visual style of the new game and TF2.

No, you are not the first to notice ‘some’ resemblance to TF2; but I would argue that this is a completely new design style.

Will you be able to have a strategy in Brink? Yes, you just wont be able to incorporate vehicles and to some extent deploables into that strategy like ETQW. Does that make Brink any less strategic or tactical than ETQW? No it just makes it different. Just look at the bodytypes and the weapons attachements.

In ETQW one of the first things you looked at was class balance. Ok we have 2 soldiers, 3 medics, 1 engineer, 3 field ops and 2 coverts. Ok its not a hack obj so we don’t need that extra covert, we don’t need those field ops either, we could lose those 2 with the covert and have 3 extra medics.

Now it will be ok Class balance + weight balance as well. Those heavies will be great for the slow escort mission but bad for the item delivery obj etc… Then there are the weapons and their attachements. If your going to scrim another team or just play on a pub server then there will be lots to think about to maximise your chances of winning.
