Will Beta Cards Returns?

I’m sure this has been asked alot, but still I wanna know. I’ve been playing since open beta and I still have yet to get a cobalt, so I wanna know if I can end up getting something kinda like it.

Yes, you can earn cobalts. They’re the highest cosmetic tier you can get; either from cases or trading up cards.

I assume you mean Obsidian cards when you speak of Beta cards. As far as I know, it’s not sure but possible that the devs will re-release new ones in the future, nothing that I can confirm myself though. The only cards that I know will never be re-released though are the Founders Cards.

They are releasing new Obsidian cards in the future because they only had Obsidians for Arty, Proxy, Fragger, and Vassili. There will be other Obsidian cards for other mercs. I’m not sure if they’ll release the original Obsidian cards though.
And don’t feel bad, I got a Obsidian Arty.

Well I know that about the cobalts, just haven’t gotten one yet

Oh how I wish for an obsidian Fletcher.
I wouldn’t mind a founders Vasili either, but I know the chances of me ever getting one are 0 :frowning:

There were a couple of different packages with a wide price range. Obv the more you paid/showed your support, the more you got. Sweaters, shirts, dogtags, I think an artbook or prints?, posters etc.
For each level, you got one more ingame card.

I’d like to see Obsidian Phoenix. Imagine if instead of a helmet he wore a banana hat. “MAKE SURE YOU EAT PLENTY OF FRUIT” -Phoenix.

There were three levels which gave you either 1, 3 or all 5 Founders cards. However, you got to pick the one(s) you wanted if you didn’t get the full set, no RNG involved. By opposition, the Beta Fighter Obsidian cards came as a case which randomly gave you one of the 5 mercs available.

I just found these news about the prices, but there is no info about the cards.

30, 60, 120, 240 and 360USD were prices asked for the different packages with some sexy stuff included. I thought every level got more cards, but you mean only the 120+ got them?

It was mentioned in the stream today that there will be new obsidian cards but that previous exclusive cards will not be returning.

You got 1 Founder at $30, 3 at $60 and all 5 at $120+. As @Nail pointed out, the higher levels got more goodies (physical and virtual), but not more Founders.

If you’ve been playing since the beginning of open beta, you should have been able to get at least 1 cobalt by now, maybe more, but that all depends on how you spend your credits. If you dropped all your credits on mercs instead of loadouts/trade-ups then it’s understandable you won’t have any/many of the higher tier cosmetic cards. If you have all the mercs you want, I would suggest simply trading up over time. Work towards getting some cool silver skins, and if you don’t like 'em, save then trade up to gold, and the same goes for the cobalt tier. Cobalt is supposed to take a LOT of work to reach and is supposed to be a high/epic reward for your work.

As for the beta cards - any limited promotional card that is not currently available will NOT be returning/given away again in the future. The founders and closed beta cards are unique and special to those who got in early. We may see different skin types or different variations of the Obsidian’s, however they will not be the same. :slight_smile:
