I looked up the goldrush object:

So I think you need to use redlfag if allies should steal it.

The first question i haven’t seen (lalala). The second question is understandable, as this was not in the jaeger prefab …

Answer: accums. I show you what to add in bold (scriptname of team_CTF = f_jaeger_docs, just as example):

So, use accum, set it to 0 on spawn event, increase its value 1 time each capture event (accum 0 inc 1) and if value is 3 goto game_manager endgame block.

Thunder, when you already know someone, who could help you with your problem, why don’t you write a PM?
You are flooding the forum with new threads.
Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate all the effort and dedication you have for and put in this game, but maybe you could start a thread called “model releases” or something similar, where you always post your new model and have a first post, updated with all your models.
And another one for your map project, where you ask all your project related things.

That would really keep the forum clean, plus people have all your models in one spot, or can follow your map project within one thread and don’t have to work through tons of tiny threads with only one or two replies.

I’m not intending to hate or troll, I just prefer a clean handling of things in order to maintain a proper overview.

I would actually suggest to you thunder_13th, that you should be more specific in this new thread title, as in asking a question “I need help regarding CTF pickups…” or something similar, but aside from asking for help on this topic is fine. ( although… you can do a search first… which can help… )

But again, asking for help is ok, because that what this thread is for.

And @KeMoN
I would say his post is not flooding at all, he had a question, he asked… hopefully someone will give him an answer he needs. After years of not keeping up with this community, I now keep up almost daily to see the new posts, somedays there are no posts, and many years ago this forum was flooded page by page of chat about projects, questions and answers to questions. So trying to keep this forum “clean” as you ask, I would say… just let it ride… seeing a few posts a day is not flooding imo…

Hm i just have the same problem but i want a switch, i mean in railgun are there using something to fire the railgun. You press f in game… but what entities must i use…

Actually, why not. Tired of all the educators who say: do it yourself. Spoonfeed acqu is here :smiley: Check this. Make a big brush, give it trigger texture, make it entity func_invsible_user, give scriptname and targetname. Then add this script:

If people would first load a core map source and look how it works, there would be far less of the topics, you know ^^ Only in case of “can’t reproduce it (aka copy/paste isn’t working sometimes, but also can be a faile step by step recreation)” or “something new” :stuck_out_tongue: It’s nice you always show a short part of the script and explain how it works, but that’s basically what anyone can do, and most importantly people who ask these questions do have the skills to inspect things (if they’ll downloaded/installed/configured both game and editor, they can do that!).

I would like to have you patience in that cases ^^’ Hope my point is seen. It’s not about asking questions, but how you can look for an answer first by yourself, then post a topic with details :slight_smile:

Basically, when i see such threads, i can’t hold back sometimes. It is like an inner sneeze, can’t avoid it. I just think back to times where i learned stuff (also other things) went to forums, asked questions, always got the same sh*** answers. It is great that people always teach to do stuff yourself, but basically this lead me to a person doing now EVERYTHING by myself. And that is a painful road. I believe, if people work together, stuff can get achieved much faster. If science in the early days would not have been entirely in Latin, which prevented the peasents from learning that science, i think humanity can be much further already. Well, i know it is poor example. But just sitting back and saying nothing is also not the way (i know loads of people still watch these forums, with great knowledge, but do not take part in any discussions, which is sad). I know, with my temporary style i am on the other end of the extreme, i personally am just of character that i never make people think and spoonfeed everything to them haha :D. Well not always, but there is this tendency. I know that people should create a common sense so that everybody thinks for themself, but i just imagine how hard it sometimes was for me, as i was afraid to ask any question anymore (yeah, i was younger back then, and had nothing to do with ET). But this leads way too deep. Let’s say this: i am aware of the points you made and know exactly how pretty much everybody else thinks. But if you happen to know stuff, and never take part in discussions, keep everything to yourself, i think it is not good. Well, just my two cents to that :smiley:

EDIT oh and yeah, bascially almost every topic created would already be searchable, since ET is so old. So almost 99% of threads created here nowadays would be redundant and should not exist in your point of view. That kills discussion, community, and finally the game imo …
