Why wont my pk3 work ?

it only works on my own PC.
When I use in a clean ET install it doesnt

try making the script stuff, and levelshot. Maybe it syas in the script that you have a levelshot, but cant find it or something

what I delete all teh folder but the “maps”

I get corrupt header warnings from winRAR when I open the pk3, so I imagine something has gone wrong in the build process. Try rebuilding it, winRAR builds reliable zip’s.

okay… re-uploaded a new one (with only the folder “maps” in it)
Done it with winrar yes.

take winzip not winrar, tried it with winace once and gave me errors as well, and i would recheck if everything necessary is in the pk3

It doesnt matter if I use winzip or winrar.
I get the same result.

I think I got everythign nescessary in my PK3.
That why I wanan ask somebody to look if I forgot anything.

When I send to other poeple it says it cant fint ehe bsp, but deffenitly in the pk3 :S

I have a small tip how to build your pk3’s, there are other ways of course but for me it is the easiest and most efficient way to do it. What I do is that I create a folder somewhere on my HD, it can be on the desktop or the root, it really doesn’t matter. I call it the same as the name I want the pk3 file to be called (eg mytestmap). In this folder I create all the folders I need to have in the pk3, like maps, scripts, textures etc. Then I add all the files I need in the correct folders like .bsp in the maps folder, .shader in the scripts folder by copying them from the etmain folder.

When the all the files are copied and everything is correct I mark all files and folders in that folder I first created (mytestmap), right click on them and select WinZip->Add to mytestmap.zip. This will create a new zip in this folder called mytestmap.zip, just rename it to mytestmap.pk3 and you are done.
