Why weren't arsenal crates retroactive?

I love the arsenal crates, and although this is something that would’ve made more sense to ask when they were first implemented, why weren’t they made retroactive? I was already level 20 when they became a thing, so that’s 13 crates I missed out on just because I’ve been a devoted player for so long. I can only imagine how pissed those people who were level 40, 50 and above were.

Although I’d love to have the 30 or so arsenal crates I was “entitled to”, I think it does seem a bit excessive to receive that many. So it makes sense.

It’s not really excessive considering all the players who started after that point who are going to end up with that many crates.

I thought it went without saying, but I kind of have some cards that I actually like and would rather not lose them. Also I did buy a couple of bundles for the game, and have almost every merc. So yeah, doesn’t make sense to do that. I know you were just trying to be a smug butthole, but I’m gonna respond as if you weren’t.

You must also think that you as an old player had the opportunity to get humble bundle cards , or the logitech alienware cards among with all the event stuff, that is a little “revenge” towards new player that wont have the chance to get old stuff

eventually you’ll get the point where you have everything you really want and not care about arsonal crates too much…

I would gladly give up all my humble bundle and alien ware cards in exchange for retroactive arsenal crates, but that’s a fair point that I didn’t think of.

Because after lvl10 (if im not mistaking), each level requires the same amount of exp to level up.
After all, what’s the point of getting retroactive crates ? I mean, you say you don’t care about your humble bundle and alienware skins, why do you want to exchange exclusive and unavailable cards to get skins that anyone could obtain ?
