Was it in the patch notes and I missed it? Can’t work out if it wasn’t intended or was done on purpose to hope people won’t be turned away by long queue times.
Why was estimated queue time removed from ranked?

BY THE POWER OF PATCHNOTES:
Estimated queue time is now only shown when there is enough data to predict the waiting time
Previously, displayed queue times were incorrect when coming out of downtime
So it’s gone to prevent it from saying an hour when it really means 45 hours.

Righto, that makes sense. Really wish Americans would play ranked. I’m so sick of 7v7 pubs and I can never find a ranked game.

I can never seem to find EU ranked games either mate, even at peak times. Not sure if that is due to solo que or not though.

They really need a weekend that promotes ranked. They removed it for 3 months or whatever it was and it’s been dead since then. I don’t even think half the players know it’s back up. I was getting games every 5-10 minutes during peak hours before it went down.
They could make an event out of it. People seem to be obsessed with elite cases and skins. Why not do a week or weekend where every 10 games = 1 free elite case or something.
That’d sure get people playing ranked, and I think they’d keep playing it afterwards when they realise it is better than 8v8 pub lol.

I’d be down for that, as I said earlier I cannot ever seem to find games, no matter what time in EU, in reasonable time anyway. The case thing wouldn’t bother me, but if it got people playing ranked it would certainly help us folks out whos incentive is to play in a comp setting.
Although I fear this could have a drawback that people will just join ranked matches and play as cluelessly and aimlessly as they do in pubs just for the reward. So it will just be pubs but with a shiny icon attached.

Just make an event with some cool rewards in ranked and make stopwatch ranked exclusive during the event. Hell, make Stopwatch ranked exclusive forever.

Ranked games is the most disappointing part of the game IMO. So few games are found at any hour (EU servers), too hard to get all the players in the game (most lobbies are a failure), too many cheaters.

We’ve been having so much fun using the Aus DBN server. We’ve been on there for about 8 hours total today running games, and the guys are enjoying it way more than pub.
We’re just all joining the server, picking two captains at random, they pick their teams 1 by 1 and we just keep it to DBN rules (5v5, no duplicate mercs etc) and go from there. Our only rule is those who sub a match are definitely included in the next game so there is no one sitting in sub spots for hours on end.
It’s been working pretty well. But I’d sure as hell love to run ranked as would all these guys, but it just isn’t fun on 200+ ping.
