I have 0% packet lost. Checked it.
How did you go about checking it if you don’t mind?
Also, how are your temps? Did you check them with DB running with those programs I linked? Also, are other people on the server having the same issue you are?
Hopefully we can get the problem narrowed down so that a fix can be implemented or at least the issue identified properly.
Used Resource Monitor while I was connected to a server. Checked all IPs. My pc isnt overheating while playing DB. Using a config so there is 20% cpu usage.
OK. What IP was being used and what was the server name? Is it all servers in your region or do you only have one region (for example, in the US we have east and west servers)? Also, what temps were you actually running at and which processor do you own? You have no idea how many times people claim that their PC isn’t overheating when in fact it’s overheating. That is easily the most common issue found with your described issue.
Are other people teleporting on the same server that you’re playing on or are you the only one? If so, can you provide video of this via Shadowplay or download OBS or similar?
This type of information is key in figuring out what the actual issue is.
Intel i7-4770. Temps are around 80-93. not overclocked. Sometimes I get good ping (80) but I will have the “conection to the server lost, trying to reconnect” for a second then in the game I wont move but I can get shot at. Sometimes I will just have high ping but that is more rare but still a problem.
These are the EU servers, playing on min 10 the most.
Oh, and on the server browser I see my ping in each server is low (70-80) but in the game it is 84ms,88ms and 96ms (i didnt see 85ms or 89ms, only the ones I told you).
Is that celsius or fahrenheit for your temps? If it’s celsius you are below damage temps for that processor but wayyyyyy above normal temps. And since you probably aren’t at 33c when playing (which is 93 fahrenheit) you probably do mean celsius. That’s wayyyyyyy too hot. I have a 4770 that is OC’d to 4.6ghz and with DB running i’m at 55c. You’re below damage temps but you’re into the temp range where you’d have problems. You need to fix that even if it’s not your issue with DB.
And if you’re connection is rubberbanding up and down like that and you get connection to server lost it means you’re probably losing packets for one reason or another. It could be your CPU getting too hot and causing other issues with CPU dependent parts on your PC like onboard NIC’s. If everyone else isn’t warping around on the server then it’s something either on your PC or with your connection.
Definitely fix that heat issue. That’s way too hot. And you said said a range. If you use something like Open Hardware Monitor it will record your hottest temp that you got to which is way more useful in troubleshooting as opposed to a range. Because if you’re hitting 105c I think that 4770 will clock itself down in an attempt not to damage itself. It’s been a while since I read up on it’s heat specs.
Ok thank you very much. I will try to do something with that.
