I don’t mind if MPs’ ranges are nerfed because usually they are used for close range combat especially for Vassili. If the damage is nerfed…errrr, Vassili is pretty much ready to be put in a coffin then.
Why the incoming MP nerf is a bad idea
Range is fine, but damage, umm SD I only use MP400 on vassili. I do better with vassili with the Mp400 and using spotter to preaim head through walls, than actual snipers.
Also. I don’t mind an MP nerf on Sparks. Why? I’ve watched her role-call yesterday.
She was clearly designed to revive mainly and the killing enemies things was mentioned as: “If you don’t revive anyone, you “can” use the REVIVR as a killing weapon”.
And: “Sparks is fragile at close range, and her MPs are the last way out and meant to be CQC weapons”
low level Vaseline players (that are the real problem) don’t really use MP’s to begin with. They just sit and camp, often losing their team the game by going purely for kills, which half the time they fail to get too.
The Mercs being affected by this are Fletcher, Proxy, and most of all Sparks. She has allready been nerfed quite hard recently (justified or not), and if this happens she’ll be left with no offensive capability whatsoever.
You have to remember that this might be someones first ever FPS game. First time sniping.
Like everything there is a learning curve.
Like everyone, if they don’t try they won’t get better.
You can’t just assume that they have the experience you have.
That is a possibility, but realistically,… NO!
A new player that instantly buys the sniper character with his/her first 50k is not a first time FPS player, and not a first time sniper either. And if the continue to camp every single match, with the exact same character, they are not learning either. They might get better at improving that K:D, but they’ll still be messing up the game.

I get that, and I wouldn’t have minded in any other game. The point is though, that with that role she’d be clearly outclassed by the other DB medics. Her revive skills are not that much better than those of the paddle medics to justify a pure support role with very limited healing capabilities.
That’s an interesting concept, and would make you a much more valuable asset than most other Vassili players. I think though, that the niche you’re creating: light forward reconnaisance, is intended to be filled by Aimee. Just make sure you save some credits, and you’ll be able to continue with your play on a merc dedicated specifically to that role when she’s released.
Yeah, no. She is the best reviver in the game and has a great advantage over defibs. Alone the ability not to run to a body in a firefight is insane.
Nerf was expected. How they will handle it is another question. I won’t judge the change until I try it out after the patch. However I expect MP 400 and Tolen to be better than Empire, so that 383 gets another hit. Also Proxy would get a slight advantage over Fletcher in the secondary weaponry.
