Why Stoker should be the next merc added

Stoker would be very effective at choke points, more effective than any other fire support class. He can deny access to tight passageways, unlike Skyhammer, Arty, or Kira.

There’s places in every map with access to the skyline, which would make supply drops be less of a problem to use than the typical death from the sky schematic that is seen with the fire support mercs.

Supply drops don’t need to be just one ammo pack every time. I’d expect those things to provide for more than one person, like spam 4 ammo packs per run.

@JJMAJR The beauty of ammo packs and stations come from the fact that you can resupply your team with ammo anytime and anywhere, with how you explained your suggestion, i think of it as a marker you drop, and shortly after an ammo station like thing drops from the sky, and as you might have noticed this ruins the beauty of his ammo ability.

Just because the 3 other fire support mercs have something that drops from the sky, doesn’t mean they all should.

But, the Stoker getting an ammo station makes him better than Kira. That’s the primary problem I am trying to address. I just don’t want him to be better than any of the other current ammo-giving mercenaries, and don’t want to achieve that path through his grenades being meaningless.

There is no better merc in this game, only different mercs that can fill out different niches, want someone who excels at taking out the EV? Go with Skyhammer. Want someone who can clear out groups of enemies while still retaining the ability to do massive damage to the EV? Go for Arty. Want someone who can kill enemies spread out far and wide? Go for Kira. Want someone who can completely deny access through a corridor? Go for Stoker.

I don’t think Stoker will kick out King Skyhammer from the fire-support title.

Thunder will be interesting though, and I’m looking forward to him the most.

I’m stoked for Stoker, at the moment the merc I’m most excited for because he seems like the fire support merc that suits my style the best.
