Why so many Execution daily missions....

(imPuls3) #1

It would be nice not to have a execution mission every time my daily’s refresh. I understand you are promoting the game type but I think at least one of my three daily’s for the past 95 of 100 refreshes has been execution related. Additionally why are they sometimes like 25 - 30 rounds when they are base 6, 7 depending if its simply rounds played or wins. Should be like play 14 rounds win 7 etc.

I think it somehow bases what missions you get off what gamemodes and mercs you play the least, and gives them a higher roll chance. think.

(Mr-Penguin) #3

Sure feels that way.

Except for the fact that I keep on getting Redeye missions when I don’t even play him.

(ThiagoJaqueta) #4

Yea, I almost never get Fletcher and Sawbonez Missions.
I know that this is to incentive players to use different things, and I actually enjoy to play with different mercs, but, I just can’t stand this game mode, it’s so boring, and so messy.

I think that the solution is to replace these “Play X Rounds” missions with “Get X XP on Execution Mode”
Because that would reward players for actually playing well, so people won’t just get to execution and stay AFK, farming rounds…

I really do hate execution, I just do not think the game mode is how Dirty Bomb should be played. One life, everyone starts with their abilities, after the first minute the stragglers are killed.

I play a lot of execution and still get execution missions fairly often. That being said, I also get lots of Objective and Stop Watch related missions as well.

I think people who don’t like a particular type of mission will just notice it more often as it forces them into something they may not like, or want to do.

Same for me. The problem I have is that they seem to be stacked instead of randomized: One day i get only mode A a couple times, then I get B a couple time and then C.

Like AAABBBCCC instead of BACCBAABC.

The idea of the game giving you missions depending on how much you played a mode/merc could be true.
I play Kira 98% of the time and last time I got a mission for her was months ago…
Earlier I was only playing Objective and Execution.
I would almost always get Stopwatch.
Now that I’m playing Stopwatch the game wants me to play Execution and Objective.

This may just be a placebo but it’s weird.

(Jostabeere) #9

The only thing I hate about them is the amount. You have to play 2 whole games to get the 500CR done. 3 for the 750CR one and a total of 3 for the 1000CR mission.
But only if you play a whole 12 round game. Most of the time execution ends in 7-9 rounds and you have to play up to 5 games for the “most-rewarding” mission.

(NightingaleZ0) #10

To be honest, when I just started playing the game Execution was fun. Nowadays I avoid them like cancer for some reason. I don’t even know why. Objective is my jam most of the time since match imbalance rate is so high I do not have to suffer through a whole stop watch game.

(HunterAssassin5) #11

i never get missions with prox, the engineer i bring along for emergencies, i always get missions with my other engie, bushwanker.
at least the “support xp with this merc” missions are no more, it keeps telling me to play aura when all my support xp comes from playing stroker.
yeah, preeeetty sure the missions tell you to do things you dont usually do to “get you out of your comfort zone” and “try something out you don’t know you really like” or something stupid like that.

(SnakekillerX) #12

I actually wouldn’t mind if that’s what it was. I recently started playing Sparks just because I got her holiday skin. I’m actually really enjoying her now and I wouldn’t be if the game didn’t give me some intensive to try playing her again.

(RyePanda) #13

I’ve gotten execution so often. It sucks because I hate to cancel mission but I really don’t want to play 30 fricken rounds!

(Daergar) #14

As an added bonus, given the time you spend actually playing execution relative to waiting for people to load, rounds to begin or sides to be switched, it’s a nefarious trap if you’re hunting the trinkets.

(zealousHumdinger) #15

LOL.

(SnakekillerX) #16

I’d settle for get X experience in Execution Mode. rather than play X rounds, or win X rounds.
That’s what they did with the other mode missions… but they are probably just trying to get more people playing it, which I’m ok with too as I actually like the mode.

(DeadAlive) #17

The system definitely needs some tweaking. For me, the worst is when I cancel an Exe mission, and then get the exact same one on refresh. That is really a sour note. It ought to at least give you a break from it for 3 cycles.

I’m kind of the opposite. When I started, I strongly disliked Exe, the same as I hated S&D in CoD. But now, it has really grown on me. You get a quick burst of gameplay, and then a break. It’s a great multitasking game mode.

I would however like to see some more maps, and some new creative ideas. The actual gameplay at this point is super stale. New maps can breathe life into a game like nothing else.

(mirthfulPicture) #18

Used to get execution rounds every mission refresh, then it switched over to giving me stopwatch xp each refresh, now it seems to give me objective mode xp every time I log on.

(LifeupOmega) #19

Every other cycle is an execution mission, I can’t bring myself to play that abysmal excuse of a CS clone. There’s no strategy, you’re locked to one life, and everyone can spam their shit as soon as it starts.

(SaulWolfden) #20

I tend to get get X xp in Stopwatch often, which I absolutely despise that game mode and only ever play for the daily play. It prioritizes the mercs in rotation I think, though I do quite often get missions for Stoker or Redeye who I both play a fair bit. Difficult to say how it actually works.
