Why restrict north EU(Baltic States)? Please, read, dear devs!

(Seenyz) #1

Greetings,

I come here to find my sense, to understand you, developers. The restriction has been made, again, on steam, and it does not make a sense entirely. Now, hold on, I want to explain why. You see, you have restriction for almost everyone, except NA and EU, so I just want to know, why not allow the north EU to play. There are particually 3 countries: Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania - Baltic States, that you exclude from EU. These countries are not a part of CIS region or anything, they are offically EU contries. Trust me when I say - We have good latencies and large gaming communities right here. We PREFER english rathar than any other language that could compete to english (In this case, russian language, that we dont take participation in, we don’t like the language and the history with it and there is no influence what so ever) and I belive that you are taking us out because of that.

We love your game, and knowing that, we beg you to do this simple thing and add 3 little letter combinations to playable regions - LV, LT and EE.

Apologies for the same topic in splashdamage.

hmmm you prefer english and not your nation’s language?? this is sad…
for the rest … you are right you should be ale to play

I think DDestiny or someone like that is overseeing that part of the world. I know i’d prefer not to have any restrictions because I want world wide tournaments. Who knows what the future holds though :frowning:

Good luck on your venture.

He mentioned that in contrast to the CIS region where russian (and variants) is the main language. English is the main second language here in schools. I don’t think he tries to differentiate from his native language.

I ment to talk about the second language, not my native language.

Ahh, the Evaczone tournament is so teasing, the clan itself really is.
This is making me more fustrated. I have played all the latest fps, f2p fps, I got sick of all them and I searched for a new one, the one that would give me the spark… this game really did, until the fun ended. They honeypotted me and I took the bait.

Sorry about that :frowning: Here is more info on this if you haven’t seen it already http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/614/dirty-bomb-region-restrictions#latest

GuyZ …
I cant understand : Even Turkey is in the list of supported regions …
BUT not Iran?
just think , the more region that u support , more player U make happy!
PLZ just grow your list.
It’s not fair that a country can play such a good game , but another (even the closest country Can’t) :frowning:
re-think about it!!!
:\
Good Luck! <3

I have read that and know it all. If you have time or any other developer, please read the whole discussion. I am just interested in knowing the choice that has been made to not include dear people from here. Look, how close Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia is to playable countries like Poland, Sweden and Finland… I just don’t understand, Miss Murder. Please, think about it.

We don’t have publishing rights to the CIS region and Baltic states. Those rights belong to another publisher hence we have to region block.

(Seenyz) #12

So, where does that leave us? we wont be able to play the game at all, even after closed beta?

Do you mind me asking, who is this publisher? And how can one publisher control the region and make dicissions without the people word?

Well, Europe is not really making games in our nations language, becouse its not popular, and our country ,when im saying our country, i mean Lithuania, doesnt make games. I dont see anything sad. Gamers in Lithuania knows english perfectly, so thats why we prefer english… That is all.
