Why only co-op for campaign?

I’ve been going through the campaign and I’m never allowed to use the “Versus” option, it’s always greyed out on “co-op” does anyone know a reason for this? I’m level 8 at the moment so I dont think it’s level spesific

Guess i’m just stuck playing vs bots then -.-

What are you trying to do? Play locally with a friend? I’m not sure if you can do this, but if you can I’d love to know, because I’d like to try it out with my brother.

When you choose Campaing online you can only play with buddies against bots. The option to turn it vs mode exists but its grayed out. The Manual also says its possible. The only way to play the maps vs on the pc is to choose freeplay. Guess thats what he means. Would like them to add this feature. Because it makes finding a game much easier and faster. Just klick vs campaing and get matched to a server :wink:

It does not work with dedicated Servers. They already said in a interview, that they had to decide between dedicated servers and versus campaign. And dedicated servers were more important for them (and they are).

Here it is:

We debated long and hard here at Splash Damage about what was the right thing to do: let players play through the campaign in versus, or have dedicated servers, and we decided in the end that dedicated servers were the most important thing to PC players. I’m sure your readers will let us know if we made the right choice. J

Can someone explain what exactly is a “dedicated server”?! I always thought it means that the servers are servers run by companies or clans whatever not by the players pc who starts the game.

Why is it possible to match up 8 players to coop campagne but impossiple to match 16 players up? Dont get it yet?!
