Why no naming and shaming?

(Feley) #1

Just asking… These guys who hack or whatsoever, ruins everyones gameplay, and for that they deserve being named and shamed…
So, why no naming and shaming on this forum?
(Don’t get this wrong, I am just asking and am not here to make any troubles)

I’m pretty sure none of them really feel “shamed” by it anyway, they probably love the attention. Considering most game users don’t even bother with forums unless something is broken/they want to rage about something, I’m happy with it as it is. If we had threads dedicated to shaming individuals, the forums would have a pretty negative overall tone imo.

Yeah, you are right, I never looked into what would have happened to forum if there wasn’t for that rule.
Thanks for answer

So the No Naming And Shaming rule is in place to protect users that may not actually be hacking. Hackusations are like poison. Once somebody is accused of hacking it is hard to recover or even defend yourself. While some players are obviously hacking, enforcing this rule needs to be very black and white. If we begin to allow it in certain cases we develop a gray area of supporting naming and shaming which can spiral into allowing it altogether. It is significantly better to direct all hacker reports to Nexon Support who can actually determine if a player is hacking and deal with the player as needed.

As @Backuplight stated, it IS very negative. Better to keep the forum clean of that, as nothing good will come of it.

If naming and shaming was allowed…heh… CoD community.

@XavienH5 Instead we’re moving to a Lol type of community… “You’re the weakest link” - “No, you are!”

Lol? Ya see what I did there? Wasn’t even funny right? lol
