Why is "Upgrade Command Post" not an universal ability?

(Spez) #1

As i see it everyone who bought the ability can just walk to a command post, switch class to engineer, upgrade the post and switch back to his/her preferred class.

Is this ability working as intended? Shouldn’t the bonus be erased after the one who did the upgrade switches to another class than engineer?

This ability is a active ability, not passive. So if they switch out to Engineer, upgrade the spawn, and then switch to whatever the upgrade is lost.

Its not. I tested it a few minutes ago. The upgrade stays after you switch class, hence my question.

It is a universal ability… just like firewall command post is. Which is why 3 of my characters have both abilities. It doesn’t have to be listed as universal to make it so lol.

well technicly it’s a Engineer ability.

The only down side i can see to switching to engineer for upgrade is you will lose all your current buffs when you switch.

Mabey they should have thought it out more? Or perhaps it was intentinal.

Perhaps… but it’s also useful to switch to medic when you need a heal too if you don’t have a weapon buff.
