I want to purchase the pack for Javelin (and probably will anyways), but why do we just get a random loadout? People have asked consistently to remove this RNG aspect out of these kind of cases. What’s worse, there is no option to purchase more cases if you get a loadout you don’t like. Why not give your PAYING customers what they want? You’ve finally given us options to spend our money on, but you’ve left us with overpriced bundles (like combining skins with the mercs and not giving a separate option) and no way to choose the loadouts we want for these types of bundles/purchases. Don’t turn into Nexon or other companies of the like.
Why is there no option to purchase additional ghost cases or choose the skins you want for Javelin?

Blows goats that it’s gotta be RNG. That’s why paying for that skin wasn’t gonna be an option for me. If I wasn’t gonna get a scar/hatchet guaranteed then I’ll just spend credits and live w/o the skin.

And it all looked so promising already. First SD did the obsidian Aura based on the most popular loadouts in ranked resp. casual. Then they the did the obsidian Phantom offering 3 loadouts to choose from (though I did not buy any because… Phantom).
Not sure why they went back to a single RNG loadout where most people end up with something they don’t want.

Yeah, it seriously looks like SD dusted off some very old (I mean 2016 Nexon era content hiatus old) document containing Javelin release plans, and just rolled with it without a second thought.
I really hoped the days of RNG in paid, one-off limited cases is behind us.
The update is great, barring CMM crapping out which I hope will be fixed soon. The RNG case is like a small turd on top of a nice cake.

my first thought was like …“ok it is again 1/9 RNG for EUR 10.99…lets have a look at the loadouts” Imo all loadouts are quite decent, really depends if you like dreiss, BR or that new pew pew gun…I must say I would want one of the three with the tomahawk as melee. so its actually 3/9…is there a different skin of the melee for the ghost loadout?

The RNG is fine I guess for Elite cases which you can buy at your own pace to eventually get your favorite cobalt loadout (and plenty of other potentially useful loadouts as by-product). It’s a fair way for SD to make money on cosmetics that have no real influence on the game since you can quite easily get any bronze loadout you want without investing any money.
The RNG event loadouts like Dickens, Rev and CW are so unlikely to yield anything useful so I never cared when I did not get a good one, but was happy when I did. If I really would have wanted a certain event loadout I could have thrown money at cases and retried over and over again. So this is kinda ok too (though it demands quite some money over a short time).
The obsidian card for Javelin however is available only for a few weeks and has only one stab at getting a desirable loadout.
If people don’t buy it because of that, SD also reduces the probability of players showing off their bought loadouts and possibly motivating others to buy some too. Especially now that they are visibly in plain sight at the end of the match screen.

I don’t mind RNG on these paid skins, its better than having everyone with the same loadout (like the Arty/Fletcher/Stoker cards). They took a step in the right direction when they made the Phantom cards, at least people were able to get a loadout with a weapon they liked.
The paid Javelin cards just got one thing wrong, you should have been able to limit the RNG to an extent. At least let us pick the primary weapon (like you can with weapon kit crafting) and absolutely make sure that if someone buys more than one of these that they do NOT receive an exact duplicate of that card, nothing would be more rage inducing.

Umm…balance? What balance is there? It’s not balancing nothing…it’s just making you decide if you want a good skin and willing to accept you could get something you’d never use.
There is no balance because it’s not like there is a chance to get some super powerful loadout you could obtain from that case…every loadout in that case you can get for free other ways.

I needed something funny to watch while eating so I thought I check out some Javelin case openings. I was not disappointed:
- WTSFM - wants B86/SH41/SH56 but gets D46 that he yesterday reviewed as one of the worse ones. “Oh dear…”

CadGamings - wants any card with the SHAR-C but gets D81, “oh fuck me…”. Then crafts a Javelin Cobalt and gets… another D81
RNG is such a good way to encourage streamers to play DB B)
