I’m not a new player at all, I’ve been playing for well over a year, but I constantly see people ragging on the FEL and upping the Moa all the time, and for the life of me I can’t figure out why…

This may have something to do with the fact I had a personal vendetta against Vaseline’s, not perce’ because of his place in Dirty Bomb, just a general hatred of all scrubs in team objective based games who all seem to think it is acceptable to pick a sniper and sit in a corner just outside of spawn, killing 1 person who was stood still bored every 5 minutes.
Since picking up Aimee at launch however (and getting into level 10/20 servers regular), I’ve found she is a great answer to the afformentioned scrubartio, and I enjoy playing her in general. I even started playing Vasilli at times even if just for research purposes.
From what I’ve been able to dig up online:
Moa / Fel-IX
Damage: 75 / 79 - HS: 150 / 158
ROF: 50 / 46 RPM
Reload: 2.4/ 2.5 seconds
Ammo: 24 / 21 (32/30)
Mag: 6 / 7
Mobility: Identical (85%)
Time to Aim: Identical (0.33s)
From what I can determine, and from my own experience there is no clear advantage for 1 over the other.
MOA has a slight advantage in ROF, ammo count and reload time, but does have 1 less shot per mag.
FEL-IX has a slight damage increase, but still unable to 1 shot full HP squishies, excluding a SNITCH mark.
Sights seem just as good as each other for me, depending on personal taste.
No difference in time to aim or mobility.
The only difference could be the Mercs themselves. Vasilli’s MOA “might” suite him better because he is a slightly slower merc than Aimee, and those differences in ROF and reload may come in more useful for him over the odd extra kill he might score with the FEL on a wounded target.
However beyond that, I really don’t see the difference… of course I am fully aware that I may have to bring up the rage shield here… but am I missing something?
