Ok before I say anything I would like to get one thing straight, I’m playing on the 360 so some of what I say may not apply to a P.C player. Ok so now that that’s out of the way, I’ve been reading all over that that people don’t like any of the mg’s, which is understandable if you’re playing a light, but I think people should really give the Chinzor a chance. They are saying that it’s not accurate at all and the recoil is to much to compensate for. But I havnt really run into that problem and I think that if used right it could be one of the best guns in the game. Feel free to comment, agree, disagree, or start a flame war, just keep it relevant
Why is the Chinzor getting a bad rap?
it’s only been out a week, less for non NA types, let everyone find their own balance between style and weapons before saying anything is good or bad, not that you were, but many other people are calling for nerf this buff that, they just don’t have the ingame time this title needs to understand the balance
The Maximus is a better weapon as far as I’m concerned. It fires slower but does more damage per shot, has substantial accuracy gains so more shots actually hit – you can snipe with it pretty effectively. Though I’m playing on a PC where aiming is point-and-click rather than some gamepad thumb action, it’s fair to say weapons are graded differently depending on your input device, personal preference, open vs closed map areas, etc etc. I say go with what works for you and don’t worry about what other people think or use.
Because the damage output is terrible, and it has the stability of the Libyan government.
I rather like the Chinzor for choke points / masses of enemies where you can just hold down the fire button. I use a far more accurate secondary for long distance shots.
Chinzor’s one of my favourite weapons, awesome dps from short to mid range(if you aim it) and average damage against long if you semi fire it and when a light gets up to your face I just spam it everywhere and it always ends up with him lying on the floor, not to mention you eat any heavies that carry the Gotlung before they can even spin the gun.
It has the same rate of fire and bullet power as an AR, the dps is nothing special.
I’m not sure about having the same rate of fire or bullet power but having all those bullets sure help mowing down people while they reload. I’ve been using the chinz0r for close combat and the GErund, i believe, for far range with GL attachment to known down enemies on their ass. The chinz0r could use a bit more damage though.
Using the Chinzor with the Lobster on my Hulk Hogan resistance character, just single handedly won a match stopping the bot finally just feet away from the crane in container city. was me vs an actual group of 4 working together and the rest bots. I found it great for crowd control and medium range casue its rate of fire and steady fire when ADS had me winning every 1v1.
And paired with the lobster its great, knockdowns and sweeps from the chinzor mean death before many can react especially while a soldier tossing out frags and molotovs on top of it and replenishing my own ammo. Talk about a one man army, Hulkamania is comming to a match near you Brother!
I pwn with the Chinzor. Love it! I’m a minigunner at heart, but still rock the Chinzor main and a drummed Gerund and my 2nd. The ladies call me Mr Bullet Hose. Well, not all ladies, just my mom.
I’m on PS3, not that it matters, but the few times I’ve played Heavy, the Chinzor has been my go-to weapon.
The Maximus is more stable, and more effective burst-firing at mid-range, but if you can get close, or force the enemies to get close, the Chinzor has the edge in damage.
When I’ve used the Chinzor, I’ve taken out entire teams of the Hard AI, and one time taken out 3 human players and 5 bots solo.
The thing is that this is typically a case where the balance differs per platform and game mode. You can’t compare the weapon performing on a PS3 with one performing on a PC and you can’t compare it versus bots or real players.
Because the Carb-9 is better
Seriously, if I had the choice between Kross, Carb-9, or any of the heavy MGs on my LIGHT class, I would take either the Kross or Carb-9

Yep, when I am either defending an area or about to attack a defended area, I buff my Chinzor, and let it rip. On the way to either areas, I’ll equip my Gerund.
I was playing with a friend yesterday. He was a medium Medic and in a battle of 5 bots vs him. He was hiding behind a Jersey wall and let me know he was pinned down. I FINALLY lumbered over to the area with my Heavy Engy, turned a corner and just lucky to flank the 5 bots who were all focused on my friend. (It was the large open area in front of the hangar where we were trying to deliver fuel or avionics or whatever to the jet). Anyways, ma Chinzor cut 'em all down and I still had about 40 rounds left. I full-auto’d the 3 guys near me and burst-fired the last 2 guys who were now running for cover back towards the hangar.
Sweeeeeeet! I love this game.

it’s situations like this that make me wish there was co-op
Love using the Chinzor on my heavy - don’t know if it’s any more effective than an smg one-on-one, but it’s certainly got the dakka when it comes to bunched enemies at close range. Only thing I don’t like about it is getting caught mid-reload by a light…with an smg :o
