Why Is The Blood Over Exaggerated On The Screen When Shot?

So, a lot of times, when I get shot, the blood effect shows up. There is a lot of it but then I have like 70 health still left and yet it makes it look like I got 10 health left. Why is this?

That’s why I turned it off because it got annoying when I lost 1 hp and my hole screen turned red and it got me killed. The blood effect is more viable than Thunder’s concussion grenades.

But yeh, didn’t feel the “such immersion. much blood. wow.” effect when started the game, so that was about the first thing I disabled and have kept it so ever since.

I hate it too. I keep it on because it’s a very obvious indicator of my health, but it is a little obnoxious. I like blood spatter, but when they fuglified the graphics from how beautiful they were in Alpha stage to make this game look like a…fucking ugly foot instead, they could’ve at least redone the blood a little better. Looks like a bad JPEG. :s

I tried turning it off, but I’d always not realize how low my health was and charge in with low health.

Do you not have a custom hud with the HP bar in a more visible spot?

When it’s on, I can’t tell how much health I am on.

When it’s off, I can’t tell how much health I am on.

I wish I could get my damn custom HUD working.

This is why a centered hud where you can always see your health is a lifesaver.

Every time I lost like 10 hp someone would just pour the raspberry jelly all over my screen and I would run away on instinct, Turned that off along with the head-bobbing
