Why is scripting evil?

yeah, it’s been down last day or so, but you can use the ldr that came with your radiant, it’s just not as complete as the online one.

Sorry I have moved the LDR around because I’m doing a general site tidy up exercise.

I’ve also moved all the tutorials to the main site as well:

My 2 cents on scripting are as follows:

With time comes experience, which brings knowledge. Assuming, of course, you’ve read a tut or two  Now, that I’ve done a few (Personal ones, that is), I feel I have a good handle on scripting. Before, I couldn’t understand construction for the life of me. Nor could I understand the syntax errors I kept getting. But I can currently do construction and syntaxs easily, thanks to all of the people on this forum, of course.

With that in mind, scripting is no longer evil to me. In fact, I can’t wait to script my maps. It’s really simple when you have a handle on it.

I don’t mind scripting, but i ususally get a error i don’t understand, and the fact is then that i don’t even know the problem! Doh!
That’s why scripting can be evil, but when it doesn’t work i get back to my “Copy-paste-save-done” actions ;).
