Any one else think her HP should be buffed? If not just by 10-20 points, she has the same HP as Proxy, a rushing merc, while her weapons are all medium range rifles, sure her laser is incredibly powerful and the ammo station is useful, but she can’t hold her own in a firefight with such low hp.
Why is Kira's HP so low?
Because then she would be just buffed up Arty. Why would I then EVER use Arty?
Laser is ridiculously powerful and if you learn to use those guns she’s more than fine on mid to long range.

The idea with Kira is to move around and pick your shots as you please with the help of your ammo station while waiting that awesome laser.
Let me guess, next stop is giving him better weapons on close range like Crotzni since he cannot go against “those pesky other mercs”.
These discussions are crazy since it’s rather obvious nobody ever considers what is the primary purpose of that merc (or how powerful their special ability is) and just compares their hp/primary weapon against some other mercs and then complains about it.
You need to look at the big picture.

The laser is powerful, but she gets bursted down so fast, if you cross a corner and a skyhammer or something is there, they can take you out with their M4 in a second, you won’t have time to react, I think a 10 hp buff can’t hurt.

Most mercs do get downed fast by M4 if you cross a corner and someone is there waiting for you. Let alone midrange merc.
Not sure how much buff of 10 hp would make really since her role is just different than you clearly expect from her.
I have just tried Kira and she felt like Arty with speed but never got satisfaction from her laser use.
You didn’t answer why anyone would pick Arty over Kira if hp is buffed?

Arty is great at killing the EV, Kira isn’t, he’s often picked for that purpose, other than that, I don’t know, he’d still have a bit more than her and some people prefer ammo packs to an ammo station.

And you talk about what you prefer instead what is better.
Arty might be great killing the EV but Kira can kill whole other team with her laser while moving.
You just expect Kira to be all rounder when she isn’t.
She has good speed, mid range rifles and just sick ability with good support ability and you expect that she’s able to handle Skyhammer coming around the corner with M4.
There’s your problem really.
I’m playing Kira as my main and I personally find her completely fine as she is.
As already mentioned, it’s not her job to take down that rhino over there.
Even though she excels more at a longer range, it’s not like she has no chance in close combat.
Obviously rushing in with Kira is not always the best idea, but if you should find yourself in one of those awkward situations, it’s not over yet.
The power of burst rifles reveal when the bullets hit the head.
And that’s what you should be concentrating on.
On long range, as at close combat.
If you are able to hit heads rather consistent, eliminating that Skyhammer will not be impossible anymore.

kiras speed is best used to flank the enemy and pick them off with her laser or headshots from her gun. She’s not really supposed to be used as a pointman like proxy or skyhammer/fragger.
Hmm. Just becuase someone is fast doesn’t mean she is meant for closecombat. Likewise you don’t need high HP for longrange engagement (otherwise we really need to look into Rhinos weapons) with all due respect if you do think so, you are not moving enough.
Kira can easily strafe dance snipershots and play peek a boo, all day long with her high speed. Unlike Proxy or Aura, she only has to dodge slow shots from Snipers and Arty and doesn’t have to worry about getting close and dealing with full autos and shotguns.
And just to keep it short and because I love saying it in every single tread about this topic. High speed is not only for getting closer but also for getting out of bad situations.
Kira’s HP is low because you have to run run run, chop chop chop.

(Now, for the serious part, I’m a Kira lover.
Just use your speed to hit and run and make your ammo dispenser count.
The Stark AR is one of the worse gun IMHO so grab a Loadout with a Dreiss AR or the BR-16 and you will feel a lot more diddly.
And I was not completely joking about melee. With a Stiletto, if you feel confident, or a Cricket Bat if you wanna be safe, Kira can be an hurricane at close range.
Once I even managed to knife down a Rhino at full health while he was trying to fry me with his minigun)
Kira can position herself fast, chase people efficiently with a huge beam of light, drop ammo stations instead of having ammo packs and her guns are godlike in the hands of a marksman.
Just because you can’t fight with her on close combat, it doesn’t mean others can’t.
Because she has guns with great dps, and her orbital strike is honestly way better than Skyhammer’s once you get used to it.
