SD work on some variant of Valve time, possibly inherited from id time.

SD may employ portal technology to work on the game until 2013 and then portal it back to Fall 2010 for release. The result will be a hugely successful game that won’t be able to be patched until 2013 for the risk of creating a time-space paradox and ending out existence.

Why is sky blue?
Actually there is a scientific explanation regarding scattering of light. Different wavelengths scatter more/less. Blue has a short wavelength and thus scatters best and reaches our eyes. Other colors pass right through the atmosphere.
