Why is this character so strong and unbalanced? Using shotguns is unbalanced aswell cause they need 2 shots to kill you while you need 10-20 from an automatic gun. This paired with Auras speed makes this character just unfair.
Why is Aura so strong/nearly OP?
Aura typically seems OP to new players but she really is not. Destroy her station first, keep your distance and she drops just so quickly with her puny 80hp. Oh and aim for the head
“Kepp distance” Yes, a very useful tip if she moves twice as fast as you and need maximum 3 shots on longer range while you need 10. Shotguns need their damage reduced. Aura players can sprint and shoot and always hit every shot.
And she has 80HP and is super easy to kill when she’s away from her health station. I’ve been playing for well over a year and don’t have a problem with Aura what so ever.
Fragger destroys Aura with MG’s and Nades (Free rotation!)
Hit aura once with Nader’s nades. It does 80 damage for a direct hit. You get 5 nades.
Or stick the medic station with Fletchers bombs and wait for her to get close. Or just stick Aura with a bomb. 100 damage is more than enough to kill her. You don’t even need to hit her full on.

She isn’t easy to kill when everyone who plays her is running around with that speed and jumping like a monkey. 80 health are 10 shots with an AR that you must hit. If she jumps and you miss a shot you’re dead. No one of the other characters has such op weapon/stats combination. she either should be slower, should have less HP, or be an SMG class.
She’s so fragile that the speed + shotgun combo isn’t really a problem.
- A single well placed shotgun shot will insta-kill her.
- You have a high chance of killing her with explosives since her HP is so low that you don’t even need to detonate them under her feet.
- Keeping your distance and fighting her with an assault rifle will almost always result in you winning.
They die to collateral damage quite often. It’s almost funny, really. You throw a bunch of c4/nades/frags to kill someone near a health station and you accidentally kill the poor Aura who was sitting nearby.
An aura has 80 hp if u are using a M4 (Sky/Fragger) you deal 14 damage per BODY shot that means you need 6 BODY shots to kill her every HEADSHOT you hit is 28 damage that brings it down to 3 headshots or 4 - 5 shots in general. you cant tell me that her 3 shots with a shotgun firing at 86 rounds per minute outguns your 536 shots per minute strong M4. the healing station got 90 hp same thing in red it takes 7 shots to destroy it but that means it doesnt even take you a second to destroy the station and not even another second to kill hear.
So then wait for a team mate to kill the aura before advancing. Or advance down another route. OR if Aura’s are that big of a problem choose another merc.
You can’t expect to just go head first into every situation and win. Think!
Again, this just illustrates how the meta is screwed up in f2p. Unless you buy in or buy a nader or fragger the explosives response is largely moot. Many games I’ve played in lately are dominated by Sky and Aura, with Aura players bunkering down around their stations. Fragger is free at the moment, which is a mercy, but Naders are thin on the ground and Sky grenade is not terribly good.
Aura may seem strong when you first play against her but when you learn to play she’s nearly useless.
Like it has been said above, most new players find Aura strong.
Aura is quite powerful in 1v1 situations, assuming that her health stations is up,
however, the station has a cooldown of 25-29 seconds, or so(?), depending on the augments, and she’s quite helpless without one.
Suggested counterplays vs Aura:
a) Keep distance. The only available weapons to Aura, are most effective at short to medium range.
b) Avoid 1v1 situations, unless you catch her without a station.
c) Using explosives on a station, is almost always a good idea (unless ofc. you could had just shot the station)
d) Headshots, as usual.
e) Rhino.
One other thing to always consider, is that there is no way to balance a team based shooter like this, so that every class is equal in every imaginable 1v1 situation.
You will have to rely on your team to help, and likewise; you’re gonna have to help your team.
I see that the majority of new players are rushing into fights, not concerned about the number of enemies, while actually, they should mostly be sticking to moving as groups.

I think you’ll find Skyhammer’s grenade is all it takes to deal with those pesky healing stations. It really is that simple. Note: Simple, not necessarily easy.
It’s pretty obvious you’re new to this game.
Trust me, playing as Aura is pretty damn hard, everything kills you. Just play and you’ll get over it pretty fast, it’s just the new influx of players that only have Aura/Skyhammer unlocked. Pubs are probably full of airstrikes and health stations.
