all the time when i play ranked im with low players, when i say low i want to say they have not more 100h in DB and they blame the team they are bad and they shoot other guys in the team all the time…always i downgrade in ranked,im lv48 and i play with low players im so frustated…why im not with player same level like me ? how it’s possible to have good rank if all the time i have bad players in my team really…ranked it’s a really sh*t
(ps: im level 48 and i have more 1200H in DB
why im always with low players in ranked?
level 48 with more than 1200 hours…is pretty bad. I am level 100+ with I believe 1129 hours.
This only tells me either you are trolling all the time or you are just not that good. I mean, even if you are just having the average score of 12000 in stopwatch mode, you will definitely have much more higher level than that.
Talking about"time spent" in DB is a bit misleading as Steam and Dirty Bomb tracks time differently. DB only measures the time you are in a match, playing, while Steam counts all of the time that the game is open. This cpunts offline games, opening cases, waiting in lobbies, etc. I’m a level 9 with about 60 houts of playtime, but Steam thinks I have played for 175 hours…
As for Ranked, just pray that all the salt gets dumped on the enemy team and not your teammates. Perform your roles, watch friendly fires, call out mollies, nades, and airstrikes, give advices to those that need it, and don’t bother punishing friendly fire.
D9D calls it the “DB’s objective carrier sydnrome”. If you know what a bell curve is in a standard deviation for a statistical population distribution, the further to right you are in ranking, the more to the left you’ll be matched so that rank dispersion can be normalised in the bell curve of ranked players. This is not always the case though as the match making process of ranked prioritises players of equal or approximate rank most of the time. It is however, the fallback mechanism that catches the worst case scenario, but I have seen footages however of lower ranked players outscoring higher ranked players in a match by a significant wide margin.
I think there’s something culpable in the mechanics of it that makes the player experience go down on a very sharp curve. We don’t see who’s in the pool of players in ranked and we cannot choose who we are matched with; we couldn’t avoid match trolls and match dodgers as well, which is the caveat of the premise, because the assumption is that everyone is in the game to play with their best possible gameplay. This is one of Ranked Season II’s match making faults.
You cannot carry every game, no matter how good you are. If you’re team has, let’s say 2 bad players (I mean really bad ones, and it happens very often), you cannot compensate as you will see yourself facing 1v2, or 1v3 situations on every push. Vey often, you will be the only one pushing, defending a planted C4 etc…
No matter how good you are, if the skill gap between you and your mates is huge, you have little to no chance and there is no reason to blame yourself.
Watch last 2 days Lightning streams on Twitch. He is duo queueing with a Silver when he is Cobalt himself and gets potato team mates to compensate his skill. He can’t carry.
I am not comparing you to Lightning. I am just saying that having a complete potato team is not carryable.
Now, if you end losing all your games, then you should reconsider how good you are. I am paired with Silvers and it’s a pain, but I still can carry some games.
I wish I had a good team mate to duo with. I recommend you to duo.
What rank are you?
My lowest rank is high bronze and highest is silver 3. One thing I’ve observed is during peak hours if I am silver 3 and above I get matched with people who know what to do but if I derank to silver 1 and below I get matched with people who have less than 100 hours in DB.
I may be wrong but this is what happens when I derank to bronze every other day.

Kinda feel it does not matter, had experiences which team up with bronze or even unranked when I am gold officer play alone or duo with gold master. The worst thing like this happen a lot in NA region. In EU, i have more chances to play with gold or above.
So, I quit this stupid rank after discovering that

However, the situation of his is different…with “more than 1200” hours on steam, he either spend “A LOT” of time just open it and not playing which is highly unlikely. or he trolled a lot.
I mean, level isn’t equal to skill ( met a 150 guy who keep getting killed by me while the skill level isn’t high, and started calling me hacker…), but my point is the fact that he either trolls a lot, spend time opening game and not playing, or he is just not that good to get a fine average xp.
When I used my time to compare, I surely used steam time, not gameplay time, because I know he is using his steam time to prove his point.
game is too dead to provide balance with this number of players, not to mention that half the games’ mechanics are heavily abused because they’re broken/OP (bursts, arty stacking, nader/fletcher stacking etc), and generally merc-stacking on top of that due to the ridiculous lack of a 1-merc limit further compounds the problems.
Then on top of it you have all the new players joining (though without them ranked may not work at all a lot of the time) due to the shiny skins…
Basically, unless the playerbase substantially increases and player-retention is vastly improved (allowing said playerbase to not be saturated with low-skilled unexperienced players), ranked in dirty bomb will always be in this mess.

Just wondering how much in-game time you have? I’m level 58 with 1340 hours on Steam. I left the game open a lot a while ago. I don’t do it as much anymore though. I have about 580 hours in-game and I’m definitely an above average player- top scoring the majority of matches and often carrying my team. So my gameplay time is pretty normal. Only saying this because his Steam time for his level looks normal to me.
Although, I do play Execution a decent amount. Used to play it a lot more with friends.
On topic: I get stuck with a lot of low ranks too. U.S. servers have a small playerbase for some reason. In part due to the setting defaulting to EU servers every time you start up the game. Sadly, there’s not much that can be done right now other than fixing what I mentioned in the last sentenced. I get stuck with some golds and even cobalts that are pretty bad.
I’m only Silver Officer/Master because it’s essentially impossible to get above that without Duo queuing or just getting damn lucky.

AlphaUT : i play for the fun not always for win and not serisouly (im in spec mode 1-2x by match because im busy or other reason) 3-4month ago i level up all the 2 day but now i’m busy (in real life) i dont have the time for play all day DB my level is not bad im not a bad player (come in match with me if you are not sure dude
) and in stopwatch i have beetwen 15.000-25.000max all the time
and in execution i have all the time KD more 1.50 by match and always the first or the second but im not good all the time
Dead sure this is steam time. In comparison, I have ~800 hours on Dirty Bomb (Steam hours) and I am also level 48. In reality, I probably barely have 500 hours actual game time since I would leave Dirty Bomb open a lot of the time.
Solution: There is no real solution. Not enough players.
Or just get gud.

I’m what…57 I think and I just broke a thousand hours…I can guarantee you I haven’t spent the whole thousand playing…plus I play to win not to kill people…I don’t care if my score isn’t the highest as long as we win.
I play defensively…so I suck just because I don’t go out and with the intention to kill people even if it costs us the game?

like what I said “average”. Even if you are playing defensively all the time, I am sure not EVERY match you can hold the first objective all game which in another word, you will have the chance to face enemy A LOT OF TIMES. Here comes the question what merc are you playing? Healer ? Arty ? Skyhammer ? I am sure all those mercs can earn XP very easily. There are many cases which healer can earn more than 12k without killing.
334 hours in steam time, 181 hours playing, level 26.
Time played/level or even rank is absolutely meaningless. If you solo queue its likely you’ll have a lower rank than if you duo/5-man because of the randomness of solo queues, unless you’re a total badass or just get lucky with your team.
Your time played/level is worthless because its not just dependent on skill but game mode played as well. I play a lot of execution so unless you’re solo wiping the enemy team or planting every round you’re going to be ‘wasting’ a lot of time not getting xp, waiting for round end either dead or with a single enemy running about trying to hide. If i’d spent all my 181 hours playing stopwatch i could likely have hit 35+ averaging 15k+ xp per game.
Getting stuck in games with low tiers inexperienced players does suck. But on the other hand it shows theres lots of new players about, which i guess in the long run will be better for the game. I guess all we can do is try not to take our frustration out on them and hope they’ll be better next time we get matched with them. Regardless of your opinion of whether they should be playing ranked or not, its not their fault you got set up with them

Sadly, with only little information like this, I can’t tell if your skill level is good or not. Just to make something really clear, pub game in Dirty Bomb is really full of noobs. If you don’t think you have the ability to spawn comp while the other team does not have a higher skill level players, well.
Also, just like what you said, play for fun, not also wins. I surely did not play seriously all the time. I sometimes even just play Phantom with katana only, yet still very easy to get second or third place in pub, sometimes even in min 20 level room. Maybe I should make it more clear, in pub, if you dont see any “really good” players, well, even in min 20 room, you still can fk people up.
I’ve seen many people who really think they are good but in fact, they aren’t that good “in the game”

I am sure a lot of us already made the point “Level does not equal to skill level” this point clear. The argument that I was trying to prove was OP either “troll a lot or simply just bad” by taking the information that he gave compare to my personal game experience in pub, pug, and rank
