Why having to pay to trade in Cobalt cards, is bad... MK...

(Adam) #1

Okay class, settle down. Shut up and sit down. Mk… Today class, we are going to learn about Trading in Cobalt, Mk…

Trading in Cobalt is bad… MK…

If you made this trade in system, you’re bad… MK.

Let me explain.

I have been playing this game since closed beta (Off and on) but still, I have played a good chunk. 187 Hours, to be exact.

So Let’s talk about the steps of getting a Cobalt.

  1. Get 3 lead
  2. get 3 bronze
  3. get 4 silver
  4. get 4 gold
  5. get 6 Cobalt

and now, to get a trade in, do that 6 times.

How broken is that? Well…

I CAN DO MATH!
AND

1 trade in card costs…

17,508,000 Gold coins.

Yeah… GG…

Edit:

As I write this, they changed the system.

Now, you only need 2 cards, and 24,000 Gold coins.

SOOOO

You only have to spend:
5,852,000

Now, it looks smaller, sure, but how about this. Every game you make ~/< 1000G. Now does that number look big?

So what am I saying? I am saying that we shouldn’t be charged to trade in card. Trading in cards should be FREE! There is no reason to charge 24,000G, when we already spent 5,852,000G to get 2 Cobalts.

That small number seems insignificant compared to the big one.

(Jostabeere) #3

I fully agree with you. Cobalt trade-ins should cost 0.
(And I don’t even have any Cobalts.)

(Litego) #4

Can you? Because I got a completely different figure than yours.

Quickly made a spreadsheet to figure out the values, and to my surprise the cost for a Coblat trade in, if you were to trade up everything all the way from Lead is ridiculously expensive. Not as bad as you make it out to be, but still ridiculous!

Here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16OTyb20d3Rc3q3zcdg4FQBICWQlqRgZTX1b-aQV-ucc/edit?usp=sharing

Total credit cost at 2 184 000 and 1 728 Lead cards to trade up.

Still. I still spent 2,184,000 Gold. That should way over justify the 24,000 transaction fee.

(Litego) #6

Well, to be fair, you do get free cards of higher rarity sometimes, so it’s not like you in actuality would have to pay that. But it’s still way too much if you ask me.

(Adam) #7

if you can more than 1 gold card out of a case, I would be impressed. Past bronze is just impossible.

(Ctrix) #8

You make ~1000 credits per game? Are you hacking? Because it’s your score/10, so you’d have to get 10.000 score every game. Only in Stopwatch is that even a reasonable number to be hard of, which, that’s basically two games.

(Jostabeere) #9

What? No. You get 12 CR per games Minute. 1 CR every 5 secs.
If it was about score, people would farm the shit out of the game and guys who can do 30-40K per a stotwatch swim in money.

(XavienX) #10

I guess this makes sense since you lose a cobalt when you trade in 2 for one. So yea, I agree!

(_Sniff_) #11

I don’t mind the credit cost. I really don’t. Losing a cobalt is so stupid.

I have nothing to do with my credits anyways, why can’t the cost be like 25k-50k per reroll and be 1:1?
