Hello.

Please provide your specs and the exact error message.
Have you tried to verify the game files yet?
To do so, right click on Dirty Bomb in your Steam library.
Open the properties and navigate to local files.
There you find the option.

What if you actually read the error message or post it here?

Noone can really help you if you only say: “I cannot play because I got an error”

(undergroundBrain) #5

I think i found my specs. Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit RAM 8.0 GB Video Card ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series
Processor AMD Athlon™ Dual Core Processor 5000B
Error message coming soon.

I’m afraid we found the issue already.
Your specs aren’t high enough to run Dirty Bomb.

(undergroundBrain) #7

In what way?

Anyway here was the error message

Dirty Bomb Has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Anyway, Could you please tell me what is wrong with my specs so i can fix it

Thank

Your hardware isn’t strong enough to run it.
Dirty Bomb is built on the Unreal Engine 3 and that’s CPU heavy.
Unfortunately your CPU is pretty weak and your GPU isn’t that strong either.
You do have enough RAM, though.

Okay then. What do you reccomend for My new Graphics card and Central Processing unit?

#10

Since there is quite a selection to choose from and my knowledge isn’t very large either I can’t recommend you anything specific.

You definitely want to hit atleast 60 FPS at all times, though.

You want to look for a strong i5 or i7 as your CPU.
Your graphics card doesn’t have to be a beast but an integrated card will not cut it.
That is assuming you are only planning to play Dirty Bomb.
Otherwise a strong graphics card is a must as most modern games today require that.

Just don’t buy a laptop, they are generally speaking pretty bad for gaming.

what you need is basically an i5 processor with 3.0 ghz or more performance, and a 2GB or more videocard. my GTX750Ti can run db at around 140 FPS with setings on low, so i suggest going for anything with better performance than the Nvidia GTX750Ti. if you have the money your best bet is in the range of the GTX960-980 series, or the GTX1060-1080 series.

I run a q8400 and a GTX 650 ti, works OK

I run on a Pentium Quad 2.5 Ghz and a Geforce210 +2 GB DDR2 RAM runs just fine at 640x480 and on 800x600, but 480p for more smoother fps and less loading.

UPDATE: First match sucks, lags and stutters, but following are smooth, almost at a constant 30 fps.

I got a n i7-6700K, 32GB DDR4, Radeon RX480…

Used to play all day at 190~210 fps… now, I got Glorious 1.16fps after 20 minutes of playing without restarting DB. I beat that with an uber glorious 0.14fps but I wasn’t fast enough to catch it…
