Why do so few people respond to merc ideas?

I find this odd, people most often respond only to derail the ideas, on one of my posts, I have 111 views on this page, and a grand total of 5 responses. One of them was one of the “enforcers” (one of those guys with respectable opinions and solid points who decide whether a new merc idea is balanced) Naonna. Why so few? I’m perplexed by the lurkers…

Because the devs are still working on Turtle, i dont know if they are actually looking for more merc ideas. They might scroll through just for kicks, but nothing else

I like going there and commenting but sometimes i find no reason to comment. But i am there often.

You do have a point, but what about the rest of the community? I recieved so many views but so few responses, I also neglected to note that only 2 other people responded outside of myself, and 2 of the 5 messages were myself. I just find it odd is all.

I stopped posting ideas because people give retarded responses. Every single thing you think of it’s just “dumb” or “op” even though the ideas you can come up with are more balanced than half the mercs in the game right now haha.

@Dox I couldn’t agree more, people said Turner would be OP, but in reality I’d expect the way I laid him out to be absolute shit

@TheRyderShotgun yes I noticed you do, thank you for the criticism, if only people wouldn’t give up when people like you said their ideas are unbalanced, they should just adjust them… You two are pretty cool dudes from what I can see, though I don’t agree with everything you say, I can respect your opinion unlike those who shove it down my throat

i think the devs might actually look at merc ideas -IF- they release Javelin because than they would need 3 more mercs to even the mercs for each class. Hopefully a competition happens for it. (probably not though)

Because, let’s be honest, the most merc ideas are crap. There are few ones which are realy nice, but most are either unbalanced as hell or don’t fit the DB aesthetics and rather belong into games which are crazier than DB. Like Overwatch. Because like…None of their heroes would fit into this game. And none of our heroes would fit into that game.

@Jostabeere you just have to be open minded. Sometimes the ideas might be crazy, but the community and especially the ‘enforcers’ are there to offer opinions and improve the idea to the point that it’s something everyone wants to see. You just have to see the gem in the dirt.

Besides, if somebody were to go in and suggest a GIANT LAZER FROM THE SKY, I mean, that would be just crazy, right?

Then again, there are some people who just don’t deserve that constructive criticism because they really didn’t think about what they were posting long enough or have enough content to support the idea. Or, like you said, just don’t know what fits and what would break the game.
