When i’m in the smoke, without IR goggles, despite the fact it’s almost impossible to see through?
Why do i get killed as Redeye?
Because people are very likely to just spam random shots into the cloud hoping to get those “sick blind-shots bruuuh”
It’s like that in almost all games, once they get the hang of guessing where your general head region is they try and take you down.
At least that’s the kind of knowledge I gathered from 34 hours with the Australian Kushmate
Perhaps someone spotted you. Perhaps you did too much hide in smoke moves. Maybe it was pure luck. Use smoke more versatile, so your enemy needs to think twice if they shoot to smoke.

Yeah but then Redeye’s smoke should get a buff, larger cloud and thicker smoke.
Other than that change the pdp with a bolt action, having an extra sniper but automatic defeats the purpose IMHO.
If I have a cricket bat, I literally run into the smoke and keep spamming until I hit someone.

i was just off for a week from this forum and nobody go tell this dude why we dont buff Red Eye?

It’s not that he needs a buff to his smoke rather a change to his recon mechanic with the googles.
Redeye is easily one of the least used mercs of them all and that’s mainly due to the fact that his smoke criples his as much as the enemy because let’s be realistic the red squares above marked enemies through a massive cloud of white is as useful as a wheelchair on the tour de france
I had a lot of ideas for Redeye reworks but in short: reduce the cooldown of his googles and give him the ability to completely outline enemies through his smoke AND make his eye visible in the smoke to stop him from staying in that cloud 24/7
I just want a little attention for those mercs like Thunder, Aimee or Redeye so please get over Phantom discussions for once and realise that there are other mercs that need care.

imo return his old ironsight spotting mechanic
The smoke itself is like a “shoot me” sign, people would expect you to actually stand inside it and start shooting the smoke. (Especially when they saw the rifle’s trace, which is an obvious proof)
Solution? Use the smoke to cover/block enemy’s line of sight, not your visibility. And start shooting from behind the smoke, not inside it.
People won’t shoot what they can’t see, so does your team. Don’t block their line of sight, block the enemy’s sight.
