I can use enemy health packs, I can use enemy ammo packs, I can use enemy ammo stations… but I can’t use enemy aura stations? Where’s the consistency?
why can't I heal in an enemy aura station?
Because it would make them useless in firefights because both sides will stay in the station.
The devs have already spoke about this and said it is intended to work this way and they are not looking to change it. Imagine how long a fire fight will go on for if you decided to hop on a healing station with another Aura? Yeah I see your point but im glad its not a thing.
Aura would become a negative champion. She would get destroyed by anyone coming into her space because of her health and if she was killed then the enemy team could indefinitely use her station to heal because it’d be indestructible.
Because a fire fight would turn into a melee slam dance of people trying to bash eachother’s heads in over a 3m radius? This is of course after everyone’s out of bullets. It would be super awkward to play Aura and have to destroy your med station because the enemy is on it. Would likely be a death sentence for you.
Also trolling possibilities.
For example, intentionally planting a healing station for the enemy team, which your allies can’t even destroy. GGWP.
The Aura can place down another med station, so the old one just disappears. Easy.
And just reduce the heal rate, to something tiny like 2 HP a second, so that enemies that use it aren’t nearly as strong as a friendly inside it.
Even more fun, make it so that enemies that stand in it for too long start to take damage.
I believe the official story is that the healing station is nanite based, similar to Phoenix. The nanites can determine friend or foe. Same reason Phoenix’s heal only helps teammates and not enemies as well. Mini smartbots!.
Meanwhile the med packs, ammo packs and ammo stations are good old tech usable by all.
