Why aren't the developers interacting with the playerbase?

I saw the John Cena guy ranting about the developers not listening to the community in a huge ass post that I might have read if it was summer vacation again. But there’s some truth in it, why aren’t the developers listening or even interacting with the community.

It’s an open beta, you’re suppose to play and give feedback about your experience with the product. So I came here to do so and found plenty of pretentious idiots like myself - but the forum is completely devoid of any developers’ interaction. Why? The game’s playerbase is rather small and most of them are low level players(suggesting they’re quitting pretty early). Why are the developers not communicating with the few players dedicated/pathetic enough to come to the forums and rant and cry about everything? I personally don’t find it entirely justified to act all high and mighty as developers here - the forums aren’t getting spammed with “omg this wepoon to overpowerid ples remove from gayme” - in fact most posts are fairly constructive and rational. Interact with them!

Now I am fairly certain most people would agree that the grounds on which you “patch” the game(aka “I pulled this graph out of my ass where I played 2 games as Rhino in a pubgame and I made a kill so we’re toning down the machinegun to 12dps”) aren’t exactly solid either. Most huge games have a really good player balance the game in discussion with pros(take Dota 2 for example - the guy’s called Icefrog. I know LoL does the same thing but LoL’s for fags so idk about that fella)

tl dr we need more interaction from the developers on the forums.

[spoiler]Don’t liste to him. He’s an insulting little snowflake that loves to shit on people and thinks everyone besides him is an idiot. For a weird-ass reason he believes noone should be making ideas and SD shouldn’t listen to its community because that’s the best way to make a game.[/spoiler]

For myself, I find @Faraleth and @NxA_Noxie being the single 2 people out here who actually ask devs about stuff players ask and respond to stuff. MissMurder wasn’t the best, but she was more frequent here, and responded to players asking important questions.

@MTLMortis The stream is a sad joke in my eyes. ~200 people spamming questions, and 90% goes down in a mass of “when we get new mercs” “when new map comes out”

I’ve seen Faraleth post a few times, other guy not at all(but perhaps I’m just oblivious to him/her doing so). Still a few very reasonable posts like the John Cena’s one, which he obviously put alot of effort into as well, could at least get a reply from a dev imho.

I also kinda agree with him that if you want to patch you should take knowledgeable players in consideration - almost all large games do so nowadays.

SD seems to be listening… but it doesn’t really mean anything since listening doesn’t obligate one to do anything.

Aahahahahaha. Yeah, sure, they do care. Let’s take… oh I don’t know, RNG when it comes to special loadout cards… people were complaining really early on during the CW event about 0.3% and 10% in CW elite cases, which left them about a month change it and as we all know, it didn’t happen.
WTD… oh, look, 0.3% and 10% returns!
“but you could get event cases by just playing”
With really low drop chance (spent 8h in matches and got 0 cases.)

There are thousands of players that are not complaining, you seem to forget about them.
And everyone here thinks their idea should and must be implemented, it’s their game. The world is not yours, you have differing opinions on everything. I’m not going to “group think” and regress the quality of our conversations just to be friendly. And neither should they, we are not the professionals and they definitely do not have the time to explain everything to us nor should they. You are the gamer, not the developer. And they have a MASS presence with this community. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? I AM SO CONFUSED.

I’m going to have to disagree, I think Miss Murder was awesome.
The highlight of her for me was definitely when she closed your thread asking SD to ban all Russians from playing this game.
She knew right from wrong, and I’m sensing that you are still left bitter.
