Okay. This is getting annoying since it’s a major bug in my eyes. I play Nader as main, and it bugs me.
Nades explode on impact with players after a certain range and deal damage. But they don’t do it if the enemy is on a turret, planting C4 or delivering drugs/EMP. The nades just bounce off of them and don’t deal the impact damage at all. Why?
Why are players who plant/use turret/deliver the objective not considered as players for grenades?
By the power of hitboxes. Turret hitboxes are particularly bad. The milk jug shouldn’t have a hitbox at all imo…
Wrong hitbox classification ? When somebody is interacting with stuff, it is not regarded as a player but as an object… I don’t know, it may be just as simple as that
Now that you say it, I remember that I just can’t damage anything mating with an MG with a sticky bomb. Even if I stick it directly on the guy. I though it was just yet another sticky bomb bug.
I’m pretty sure I killed several planting proxies (and other mercs aswell) with direct hits while they were disarming/planting.
MG nests are propably due to the grenade and MG nest hitboxes. The MG nest only leaves a small area avaible to shoot someone (head).
The grenade hitbox however is fairly large (tho they made it smaller a couple patches ago). Ever had the situation where the nade bounces of the framings of a window, even tho you were shooting nowhere near those thin frames?
So propably its a case of you either shoot too high and grenade goes over the head or you shoot too low or actually perfectly but the grenade hitbox colides with the MG hitbox in that case.
I know the hitboxes are somewhat buggy.
On Bridge, for Phase 3 Objective, I know I’ve used the cricket bat point blank on the windows and have them not break, I’ve had to back up a little to get the hit to register.
Same goes for using the cricket bat on Aura’s healing stations. I don’t even attempt to use the knife for healing stations anymore. I just pistol them. Sometimes I’m standing right next to it and swinging away without it registering.
had this happen just barely, fragger tossed a nade on the guy delivering the the emp on chapel and it didnt do any damage, lost us the game

I had it right now in a game on terminal. A Fragger planted, I shot a nade and perfectly hit him. The nade just bounced off and exploded at his feets and he didn’t give a damn about it.
I’ve never had a problem hitting planters/defusers, but MG’s are impossible to take out unless you switch to your primary.

I believe you killed them through splash damage. I witnessed first hand a Proxy that was delivering the last drug sample on Bridge and a Nader shot her 3 times with grenades with direct hits but it only brought the Proxy down to about 1/4 HP before the delivery was done. So I think the hitbox of the sample or possibly the state of the actor during transmission not only kept the Proxy from taking direct hit damage but shielded her from a lot of splash damage as well. Explosions have definitely changed due to the Fragger nade nerfs. Blasts no longer seem to go through bodies so people survive/take no damage when they wouldn’t in the past. Because the splash alone from that Nader’s grenades should have been enough to kill since the explosion literally happened at her feet.
That’s my theory anyway.
Trying to throw or shoot a grenade over an MG - particularly the top one in the second part of Terminal - is hilarious.
Just had an Arty on the 1st MG in chapel survive a fragger nade at his feet and take no damage. This needs fixing.
Hi, speaking about a funny bug: an enemy playing bushwalker was deploying his turret but somehow with a good timing (bad?) i manage to got at the same place of the turret…
So i was stuck in the bushwalker turret. Didnt end well. End of the story good night
the normal headshot hitbox also seems to be buggy. lots of times if I aim for the chin or mouth, it doesn’t count as a headshot. but if I aim at the forehead, it does. Not a problem with most mercs since it’s easy to correct your aim when using a shotgun, pistol, full auto weapon, semi auto weapon, burst weapon, etc, and Is really easy to avoid making that mistake in hip fire, but when I use vissili it screws me up sometimes. luckily im used to it since I come from bf4 and in that game you needed to aim above the head in order to headshot (before the latest patch ) but it is still a problem i’d like addressed
Goddamn please fix this asap. You can’t deal damage to anyone in a turret with nades and they can mow you down…
This really needs fixing.
