Why Are Players Not Voting?

(greatFactory) #21

the big issue for me is that i rarely know what we are voting for… and i dont have time to check if the accusations are real or at least plausible so most of the time i ignore it.

there needs to be a text input so you can tell people why you want this vote to pass and there needs to be a semi transparent box in the middle of your screen that forces you to vote but you can only initiate 1 vote per game to minimize abuse

I stopped voting because
A ) an absent vote = a no vote
B ) people keep doing shuffle votes mid-game or near end of games. I will vote no on these anyways

Come on, your expectations are way too high for the average player. Just look at TF2, you get a jingle, it takes up a good part of your screen, it’s a dense solid block colour, and yet you’ll be lucky to get even 3 votes on a standard 24 player server because people are stupid.

First time when I saw this AFK reminder, I immediately thought why on Mars we don’t have this kind of a notification for votes.

If one misses that thing, I’d like to have a word with his/her optician. Or seeing-eye guide.

Sry for asking you since this is commonly asked question, but how you replace the stuff on your hud?
I’ve seen a lot of questions about that, but no answers so far…

They need a notification like that for repairing objectives when you aren’t contributing to its progress as well.

I’ve seen a lot of questions about that, but no answers so far…[/quote]Either find someone who has a HUD setup you want to copy and use their config (most streamers seem to post theirs openly) or edit your config yourself. There’s also this tool someone made, though I haven’t actually used it. Part of me wants to move things, but I can’t really decide where I’d want them so kept everything as default. Hoping there’s an in-game way to just drag and drop HUD elements one day.

Thanks for answer
I really don’t want to change things too much… I am really frustrated about that timer, and always losing my concentration while looking at reinforcements timer… I wanted it somewhere closer, but don’t know if I should change it.

I really hope too that what wezel’s configurator does is at some point implemented in the game itself too. The concept of moving stuff around like that is so neat!

@Feley , in case you like my HUD (or want to use it as a base for your own. It’s 1920x1080 btw), I can drop a copy+paste for you in PM or something? Otherwise, pretty much what Backuplight said, drag’n’droppin with wezel’s tool  Although I’ve noticed it requires some manual writing of pixel offset amounts (you’ll notice what I mean if you start working with it), tool doesn’t work fully anymore afaik.

I’m still tilting more towards the wrong answer buzzer sound! On loop. With same volume as airstrike.

Thanks, but you don’t need to, I am afraid I will just scr*w something up, hahahaha…
I think I have 1280x1024 though… But nevermind, and thanks again  Maybe I’ll change it in near future, but will leave it like it is now…

Bruh this would be the best notification for votes and objectives about to be completed/destroyed.
